Did you accept by Columbia ?
Figured I’ll join the thread too for this last hour or so before decisions are out. I really want to go to Yale, but I was accepted to Columbia and will go there if Yale rejects me (most likely). I’m nervous, but not as nervous as I would be without my Columbia acceptance in hand. Good luck to everyone!

Is Yale actually really in need of accomplished STEM majors and CS kids?
Well, they aren’t known for that, so I guess they do lol. Less competition for us haha
Might as well join the thread as well. Also accepted at Columbia so I’ll definitely be going there if I don’t get in. I actually really like Columbia so I might end up going there regardless… Guess I’ll have to wait.

Also, how are we sure that decisions will come out today? I didn’t receive anything from Yale…
@BronxKid nah in the admissions portal, they had a nice long letter about the waitlist. Was really pissed lol.

@embellishment Not for Yale. I was waitlisted at Columbia. I’m confused about which college we are talking about here.

@dapieguy1 also though you were talking about Yale lol. I’ve seen in past Columbia transfer threads that they’ve taken kids off in the past. I guess it depends on yield for the first year class and the incoming transfer students.
ahh ok. I’m pretty sure Yale doesn’t have a waitlist soooo…
@dapieguy1 I know someone who applied as a transfer last year and was waitlisted, so it’s possible. I’d rather get a final decision, but a waitlist is also a possibility here.
