Got my rejection from Seattle market today. I already have a job lined up at my local Y which is a non-prof anyway, but BoA really was my first choice :'(

I’m from la market. I also got my rejection today I saw it coming …

I am from the Washington D.C. Market

Still haven’t heard anything, anyone else sill waiting for a response?

Yeah, still waiting in NJ.

Still waiting from NJ…let’s hope it comes today

rejected from nj

still nothing in the mail in the NJ market… lj - im sorry - i probably got rejected too - did they just send you a corny rejection letter in the mail?

Rejected as well today. Little larger than a standard envelope with the standard BOA return stamp. Eh, definitely a low quality rejection letter. Was database generated and wasn’t signed.

Certainly must have been a competitive pool in Jersey this year. For anyone who was accepted in the state, big props to you. If you get a chance, post some of your specs. I assume BOA was looking for some pretty exciting community service work, so I’m interested in seeing what caught their eye.

Off to find a summer job now :P

Hoiston Texas any1?

REjected
Its ok tho

rejected. RE-JE-CT-ED!
oh well. it’s their loss. they missed out on one amazing applicant, or at least that’s what i think. good thing i got other summer jobs ready though. im from philly by the way.

Rejected from the NJ market as well. Oh well, I have an interview this week for a paid internship - excited for that! Would have been an awesome experience, but I guess it was super competitive - congratulations to those who got in!

Can’t help but think it’s not what you know, but who you know…

…sour grapes? Maybe ;)

Yesss, so I posted a few days ago that I got rejected, but one person dropped out and it turns out top number 6 was me! So even though I wasn’t in the original 5, I’m still really excited and thankful. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

As a point of interest for future applicants in this area, the DC or Baltimore, MD market (not sure which one since I live a fairly equal distance from both) had 237 applicants this year.

papercutz, that’s awesome! Definitely a real accomplishment on your part. Congradulations!

Can someone from previous years look over my responses and tell me if I need to change or include anything?

Thanks you so much!

what’s the wash dc trip like, for anyone who did it last year? what types of things did you do? was it really structured? ++ i don’t really care, it’s just out of curiousity- how much do they pay you?

I am a 2011 Bank of America Student Leader. Congrats to everyone that got in! For those of you that didn’t, don’t feel bad. There were something about 6% admit rate last year.

The program is amazing. You work for 35 hours a week at a rate of $10/hr at a local non-profit that your market leader chooses. I don’t know anyone who disliked their job. Most people worked at the same place as 4 other student leaders from their market.

The D.C. trip was one of the best experiences of my life. It is very structured. You have a day packed with activities starting at like 8am, then free time from 10pm-11pm. You meet a ton of great lifelong friends and get to have a lot of fun. Everything is paid for, even food.

If you got into this program, you can’t turn it down. It is simply amazing.

I really hope I get this!
