<p>I applied for NJ market. Did anyone not list the number of hours completed and instead write something along the lines of
activity name; 1hr/5days/week since '09
and continue their list that way? I felt more comfortable doing this because I was able to list the events that I was no longer a part of an the activities in which I am still continuously involved in.
I have started a group in my public high school based on the educational side of a Gay/Straight Alliance and the MTV show “If You Really Knew Me”.
I tutor a ESL first grade girl since November 3 hours a week.
I volunteer at a rehabiliation center where I am the assistant to the hairdresser (I get to handle marketing, client relations, accounting, and of course clean up).
I participate in alot of anti-drug groups such as a youth group that works under a grant called Community Trials Intervention to Prevent High Risk Drinking, my town’s municipal alliance, and several others. I have helped set up for 2, working on 3, Battle of the Bands shows in my area. I participated in REBEL in my school until it was cut last year. And then of course you have sports like golf and soccer and other extra curriculars.This is only what I can remember off the top of my head what I have done.
I was worried about my application not being good enough after reading some of the threads on college confidential about BOA’s program, but after writting down some of my activities again, I’m feeling pretty good about it 
I read the thread from last year or 2 years ago, they said 100 people applied in NJ for 5 spots.
If anyone knows the dates the internship starts that’d be great. I know DC is July 10th to 15th, its on their website. I am planning on attending NYLC June 26-July 4. I figured the internship starts eithor the first week of July or after the DC trip. BTW…we get paid for going on the DC trip since we’re “on the clock” that week. In the past people have made $2 to 3,000 from the internship.</p>
<p>The internship probably begins at different dates in different markets because public schools start and end on different dates.</p>
<p>My D has started school as early as August 22 and as late as September 9, depending on where we lived at the time.</p>
<p>Has anyone heard back yet? Received any calls or emails or notifications?</p>
<p>I haven’t heard back yet, but i hope that they send an email plus a phone call because i’ll be really sad if i missed a call.
^We should all definately hear back by April, but it really all depends on your specific market</p>
<p>Hey Everyone! I’m in the East Bay/Oakland market. Is anyone else from here? I still haven’t heard back yet. Has anyone from my region heard back?
^I don’t think we even have the assurance of hearing back by even April. I think it’s May 18th is when everyone is promised to have heard a response.</p>

<p>I had an interview with IE market. I think they said they had about 180 applications. ONly 5 will be accepted.</p>
<p>Do they accept different people at different times even in the same market? I know one of my classmates got in, but I haven’t heard back from them at all.</p>
<p>For the Nashville market, the internship starts June 4th and goes through the first couple weeks of August.</p>

Unfortunately I already accepted another internship that wanted my response already so I had to tell the lady I couldn’t do it. It was kindof awkward. Hopefully whoever gets my spot will love it!</p>
