Got accepted from the Richmond, Virginia market! I’m so excited!

in phoenix they accepted me without an interview. I am saying I have heard back but they skipped the interview for the applicants (at least me)

has anyone heard back from silicon valley :(?

Anyone heard from east bay/ oak? Any interviews?

^^ I applied to the phoenix market, and last weekend one of my friends told me he was accepted and that the market accepted only 4 people… so 2 spots(that i know of have been taken).

waiting on the silicon valley response

D1 accepted in the Los Angeles market without an interview.

@pinkrocket- I rejected them because I had already committed to another summer program so I hope they pulled up someone else to take my spot. I am curious to see where they end up working

@x3savearth314 - I know that the Miami Market is different from the Broward County Market but if it’s any conciliation I haven’t received any word from the program either about an interview or an acceptance/rejection. I am hoping to hear soon though!

Congrats to all who have heard already, and good luck for those still waiting. D2 had an awesome internship 2 years ago in Charlotte…it was a life-changing experience for her. I hope your experience is as great!

@bayareaoak nothing yet. Still waiting!

@savearth, I had somewhere around 700 (or maybe 800? can’t remember) hours volunteering with a variety of different organizations. Most of my hours were concentrated in two projects though - in one, I had about 400ish hours, another about 200. I’m not sure if this helped or not, but I did some work with one of Bank of America’s sponsor organizations, the YWCA, and I had somewhat of a focus in my activities (service projects serving women and children). Leadership-wise, I founded several clubs at my school and served on the youth board of Hands-On Nashville, which basically works with the city’s nonprofits to plan volunteer projects for teens.

I think it was my fantastic rec that really cinched it for me though. I read it and it was two pages typed, written by my former English teacher who sponsors two of my clubs and is also a phenomenal writer. I guess it’s much less of what you do than how you “sell” it.

I’m curious. I applied for the Dallas market area. The email says I will know no later than May 18, but I’d like to know before then. When do they call you? Do they send out rejections or do you just assume you were rejected due to no contact?
