Generally the last week of March.
All that there’s left to do is wait…ugh
Last year the decisions came out on the 23rd of March so I’d expect somewhere around that date…
Now only to wait…
It’s most likely the 23rd of March from what I’ve witnessed in previous years.

is barnard considered an ivy? <<
[/QUOTE]
Yes, it is one of the 4 undergraduate colleges at Columbia University, an Ivy League school - which is what will appear on your diploma some day. That is true also for the sports you’d be participating in, if you choose to.
My daughter submitted her self-reported SAT scores via the Common Application. Her college counselor was contacted today to submit her SAT scores by Barnard admissions. Did this happen to anyone else?
D got a likely letter from admission office yesterday. So excited.
@baywatch2023 D was not asked to submit the official test scores. But I believe any new action/request is a positive sign. Good luck to your D!
@Junerain What is a likely letter from the admissions office?I thought decisions come out in March?
@ibsadgurl You are right. Apparently schools like Barnard may send this likely letter only to the selected few applicants. By not receiving it, it does not mean you are not admitted. The vast majority of students who eventually get admitted in the RD round do not receive this letter.
@Junerain What does the letter say?? I’m sorry I just never knew that they sent a letter like this, so this is interesting!
@ibsadgurl Basically it says the admission office has already reviewed the application and “most likely” D will receive a favorable letter because the office was very impressed by her accomplishment. Even though the formal letter of decision will not be sent until late March, please continue work hard and keep the grades. At the same time, the office recommend her starting exploring more about Barnard.
@Junerain was it an email or a letter letter?
@alexandra00 It was an email.
Does anyone know if Barnard requests for second semester senior grades during the admissions process? or do they only look at the grades on your transcript and the mid year report? I know that they need a final report at the end of second semester senior year but do they request for grades during second semester of senior year?
@ibsadgurl: In the case of my daughter, “No”.
And, if you think about it, they will have looked at the entire application, they have looked at the Junior-year transcript, and the Senior-year mid-year report-card from your guidance counselor to see what courses you are taken and that those are going well. If all THAT was not already clearly convincing enough to ADMIT, then I would expect them to have plenty of other candidates lined up, rather than trying to obtain any further “snap shots” grades at arbitrary times during the second half of senior year.
By the time my daughter took the senior year AP exams, she had THOSE results sent directly to Barnard for free, of course. And later in the summer, we paid to have the (previously self-reported) junior year AP results sent to Barnard as well, plus the transcripts from two colleges where some teachers had co-registered some classes she had taken at her High School.
Have any BOP/ HEOP students heard back yet?
@SuperBigMusicLover I applied heop and I have not received anything yet. Do you know anyone who did.
@Selenarahman Nope, I have not. I applied through BOP. Fingers crossed that we’ll get something soon
I literally have a countdown in my phone for D (decision) Day… I wish results came out sooner. It’s frustrating not being able to plan, even though admittance is unlikely for me.
just got accepted through a likely letter! good luck to everyone!
