Barnard College Class of 2023 RD

@vpa2019 That’s a relief! Thank you!
@SuperBigMusicLover I’ve been accepted to Illinois Institute of Technology only as of now.

Tulane and William & Mary so far…

@SuperBigMusicLover UOregon, but I only applied to three schools so… Barnard and Brown are the other ones I’m waiting on. I decided to only apply to places I knew I wanted to go. I’m happy with any of the three, though I definitely have more of a personal attachment to the ones I’m waiting on.

Awww, congratulations on your acceptances!!

Has anyone (that hasn’t gotten the likely letter) received any other emails other than the financial aid reminder? I got a lot of different emails from the different colleges I applied to. But for Barnard, I’ve only received my confirmation and financial aid reminder. Is this a bad sign?

@hssenior191919, I have only gotten 2 e-mails from Barnard, 1 to confirm my interview before I applied, and 1 confirming they had received my application. So, you are not alone…

My daughter had received several outreach emails from some colleges (such as UChicago) once she had applied or visited - but I can’t recall her getting Barnard emails or mailers until AFTER she had been accepted. So I wouldn’t read anything into it.

Some colleges are more aggressive at marketing themselves and/or have a bigger variety of glossy materials to send over time than others.

I’m actually not feel great with this college journey ? I’ve gotten two decisions back so far and I’ve been rejected both times.
I’m hoping Barnard may be the light at the end of this dark tunnel. I got two emails from Barnard ( interview and confirmation of application).
Good luck everyone.

I got two emails from them two weeks ago and then again this past Friday about my mid-year report not being sent. They also emailed my counselor who finally sent it in yesterday!

I keep refreshing my email every few minutes lol

@SuperBigMusicLover I keep checking my portal for updates… my guess though is that it’ll probably be in the next two weeks. The last week of March is when they usually release the decisions.

We can only wait. Good luck!!

I just got a voicemail to interview for the Science Pathways Scholars Program, yay! Did anybody else apply?

Based on the Barnard class of 2022 RD thread, it looks like Barnard decisions will come out on either the week of the 18th or the week of the 25th. Last year they came out on 3/23 around 5:00pm.

@bookboozer Thank you, same to you as well!

Columbia’s decisions are coming out on the 28th I believe. Does Barnard follow after Columbia or before?

@prospie2023 I didn’t apply to SP2, but I did apply to another opportunity program. Congratulations btw!

A lot of chatter about “likely letters.” Please be assured that Barnard doesn’t make a practice of issuing them and the vast majority of admitted students do not receive them or any other communication prior to decision day. None of the students I have worked with have received them, nor did my own DD. Please also do not read anything into receiving (or not receiving) a request for your official test scores.

For URM and first generation students, you will receive information about special activities with the admissions decision. They don’t tend to send anything out beforehand. Just hang in there, not much longer now!

I believe they come out earlier than Columbia. Two more weeks!!

@exlibris97 that’s good to know! Thank you! I was getting a little worried because I am first gen but I never heard anything from them. Thanks for clarifying!

Oh, yay!!! I’m so ready for the wait to be over ^:)^

March 22 would b great bc that gives me a solid 12 ish days to wallow over spring break haha

I still don’t know if I’m more afraid of being accepted or rejected anymore

@musemuse same. I’ve break beginning exactly on the 22nd so I’ll have that week.

I REALLY REALLY hope I get in

@prospie2023 Congratulations on you interview. I also applied to an opportunity program and I haven’t received anything yet. Did they also send you an email along with a voicemail? When is your interview
