However, I most certainly do not want to worry people. If you did not forget any financial aid files, you would not have gotten an email regardless Best of luck to everyone!
@Plehssha not sure how to factor in the EA deferral. But did you get the email or not? I edited my question to be clearer. Need to have not received the email and the other 3 apply too for this to possibly have any indicative value for those that got the email.
My point was not to speculate on this though. We will all know soon enough.
Oh I misunderstood your original comment. I did receive an email. @MrRobot2018
@Plehssha Not your fault! It wasn’t clear.
So,
- I did not get an email
- I did apply for FA, even though wont get any
- All documents were sent a long time ago and marked received
- BC is pretty much a reach.
I hope you all get in
@happytimesforever Thanks but we are looking for people who did not send in the required docs.
Did not get email
BC not necessarily a reach (but whoever knows anymore)
applied for FA but wont get any
docs all in before EA decision
deferred
We got the email. DS was deferred EA. We submitted FAFSA and quickly discovered our EFC was so high there was no point to submitting CSS, so we never did for any of his schools…Thinking it is a bit odd that there was no email questioning this prior to the initial EA decision? Wouldn’t it have been relevant to then?
It just shows how on pins and needles we all are. Just looking for a thread of hope, somewhere, maybe it comes out sideways from the school…The hope is REAL, the disappointment is harder, the want is THERE! The wait is the hardest part. It’s nice to have a place like this to question, support and hope together. Best of luck to all How many more days again!!! Counting down!!!
@“VA–>NC”
I did not receive email.
Did not apply for financial aid.
There is no financial aid info anywhere in my portal.
You said that your son did not apply for financial aid. If you have financial aid info in your portal I assume your son checked off on common app question that he was applying for aid. So I believe in actuality you did apply for financial aid as there wouldn’t be financial aid info in your portal
I did receive the email.
I applied for FA but likely will not receive any.
Also didn’t send the papers in, going to send tomorrow. I would consider BC a target school for me. Got deferred EA. Any questions?
They did not ask for the missing stuff for the deferred in the early round…
@Workinghard1 I guess he did and didn’t know it I haven’t been in his portal to verify. I called the number listed in the link and she said to send it, so I am. They were very friendly on the phone, despite how busy they seemed to be!
It said on the portal that “Please note that Boston College does NOT post admission decisions on line.”
Now I’m just confused… So they’ll just mail them out???
No. Definitely not snail mail. The packages come that way a little later.
@yjliu I believe they send an email notifying of acceptance. D was deferred EA via email.
Yeah I read it the same way when i applied EA but it comes by email
@privatebanker @MamaJ0918 @Plehssha Thanks!!!
How do you submit the required documents? I know it’s by mail, but do you just put a stamp on it and put it in the mail box or go to the post office and have it shipped express/priority? I’m confused bc idk if I need to rush the delivery since decisions should be coming out soon.
EA deffered
applied for aid and got the email yesterday (most likely won’t get any aid anyway)
Our EA-deferred child did not receive that email and applied for FA. (We mailed in required docs before deadline, i.e., no missing docs).
