There was a campus wide email that was sent out to Cal Poly students that the summer quarter is going to be online. They’re optimistic about fall and how face-to-face will resume this fall. They’re unsure about summer events like orientation but hopefully we won’t have to do an online orientation.
Does everyone have the understanding that SLO Day for Transfers is August 6th & 7th?
But we only attend 1 of those days & were supposed to choose the 1 that’s tailored to our major?
How do we know which day is Business Administration?
The SLO day is only a one-day event for transfers. Once you log in to your portal, click on “orientation events” and then click on “registration is now open.” I’m in the Orfalea College of Business as well so yours might be Friday, August 7, from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
Thank you - I did that but it only works if you accepted Cal Poly’s offer & I haven’t done that. I’m waiting to hear back from a few other colleges.
But I got an email from Cal Poly confirming that you’re going down there for the both of us & you’re going to report back everything I needed to know. So thank you for doing that for me.

That $900 technology credit is so sweet. Makes it easier to afford a macbook. Thats probably what they want us to do given how so many people use apple in slo lol
What was your reason for not doing the Supplemental app?
I browsed the University Store products online & didn’t see anything that jumped out. Most of their laptops are only 8GB memory. That’s really low since most programs require 16GB now. Windows 10 takes 2GB just to run it so that automatically drops you to 6GB.
I hope the technology credit doesn’t turn into a perk that can’t really be used.
Sorta like colleges saying “free wi-fi” but their wi-fi speed is only 6Mbs so you can’t really load anything quickly & you just have to wait until you get home to do any homework.
So, just a little update. I emailed the Cal Poly Financial aid office about being reconsidered for the CP Scholars thing and they replied back saying they’re going to forward it to the CP scholars. I emailed them 10 days ago and no response from CP scholars. Should I re-email someone else or just wait it out?
