I took that poll & wrote that my concern is securing a lease for off-campus housing but holding off from signing a lease in case Fall is online & I’m taking classes from my dining room table.
Same here, I went to cuesta and right now there are TONS of subleases. I’m planning on waiting until we hear about fall, then going into something then. Valencia Apartments usually has rooms available at that time of year, and it’s walking distance to campus.
Since you went to Cuesta, do you know the happening spots to live in SLO?
I was wondering what downtown would be like to live there. Thurs-Sun probably wild with nightlife. Hahaaa
But other than that, I don’t know SLO apartments around campus that are cool.
Did anyone else submit an appeal letter and if so did you mail it in or email it? Their website stated before covid 19 to mail it in and now it says to email it. Getting a little concerned no one ever received it. Thanks for any replies!
It really depends on your preference. In years past, living in paso robles, los osos, atascadero, and arroyo grande were worth it. Rent was cheaper, and the commute wasn’t too bad. It’s measuring out to be about the same, and the commute is getting more congested every year. DT is popping friday-sunday, a lot of cuesta kids party thursday-sunday since friday classes are pretty uncommon. The major partying complex is mustang village. There are ALWAYS parties, so if that’s not your scene don’t live there. The SLO is not great to live in. Valencia is expensive, but I loved the location. I didn’t have any friends going into it, and my roommates were awesome people.
It was in reference to Cal Poly’s SIR deadline of May 1st. Many people made the decision to attend/not attend & the spots from those who decided not to attend have opened up to those on the waitlist.
