I believe they are still holding it on April 10th. It’s really unfair on those students who haven’t heard yet. Mine still says “pending.” I wouldn’t be able to attend the preview day anyway as I live overseas, but it’s too bad it’s taking so long. I really hope the fact that it’s taken this long isn’t a bad sign…:S

honestly if you just call the admissions office they will tell you if you are in or not!

But it still says “pending,” I thought I can only call when it says “decision mailed?”

I’m not sure, you should try calling anyways and see why it is still pending and if they have any updates for u!

Good luck, flippy! Keep us updated.

Hi guys, I found out from Chapman that they have changed my freshman application to a transfer one (long story why - I have a complicated academic history). Therefore I will be attending LMU instead because I need to let them know before May 1st, I received a scholarship from them, I got into the Honours programme, and it is also a very good school. It’s a shame I couldn’t have found out from Chapman University sooner, but c’est la vie! Wish all those attending the best of luck and I hope you all have a great four years at Chapman University :)

Sorry about the news Flippy and thanks for the update. Best of luck at LMU. Feel free to come back to chat. :)

Were you placed on transfer because you were (are?) currently doing a course in University?

Yes, even though it is not a degree course. USC did the same to me as well. I wouldn’t have minded if they were offering more scholarships to transfer students at USC, but there wasn’t much chance of me getting one. I don’t know about Chapman’s scholarships for transfer students, but I don’t want to wait until after May to find out if I have a place when I’ve got to let the other university know by May 1st. I’m very happy with LMU anyway. It was tough knowing which one I preferred (LMU or Chapman) so fate had to help me out!

I am currently in Sixth Form doing a BTEC (Highest), they will consider me as a normal international student. Correct?

Yup, you’ll be considered a freshman because you’re in Sixth Form (so basically you’re still in High school).
