<p>@souseis…how did you reach this agreement? I’m currently corresponding to a professor…but I’m not quite sure how to reach it. Mutual agreement as in you both decided on what your research project would be? I’m still a bit confused as to how this works.</p>

<p><em>sigh</em> Sent an email to the general admissions office to see if they actually have any slots left for stem cell research. Not too optimistic right now, but the initial email said they still had openings, so perhaps with the last two professors …</p>
<p>Still waiting on HSHSP and BU, so hopefully I’ll have something to do over the summer. Suppose I could always try something local and take a few online classes …</p>

<p>I emailed maybe 5-7 researchers and I only got 2 ‘I’ll get back to you’s and 1 in-person interview (I have it tomorrow!!!) Oh and before sending emails or getting the snail mail I had one phone interview because a doctor contacted me first. But he didn’t contact me again after the phone interview so I’m guessing that one is out… :’(</p>
<p>People who did their interviews, was it very research detailed interviews or more on the casual side?</p>
<p>Apparently, it varies depending on the mentor, but I’d prepare for the serious interview, as it’s fairly easy to do a casual interview impromptu. :P</p>
<p>Got the srs interview. 
Spent a fair deal of time being grilled about my research experience. Didn’t think my responses were spectacular (I spent a bit time clarifying and qualifying), but too late to change that now.</p>
<p>He says he’ll let me know about his decision soon … wonder if that’s a good thing >.<</p>

<p>as of housing, i live near Duarte and I have heard it is not such a good area, so people I suggest that you do some research before renting a room :)</p>
