I just got two emails back, one saying that he actually would like to meet me but he has a intern and he hopes i get in and the other saying congratulations but they are full… and the other 9 I sent out have not responded… I have a feeling they don’t want to be the deliverers of bad news
I just received this from an administrative support to one of the researchers.
“Thanks for your interest in our research program. We have submitted our candidate list to program director and you will be notified of the match between student and mentor from her office. My best wishes for a great summer rotation.”
I have no idea if this is the professor telling me this or if this means that I’m in his lab or another lab. Lol. Anyone else get something similar?

I think the researchers pick certain students before hand and those who aren’t pick have to fight their way into a lab

I don’t see much hope here then…I’ve already been rejected from the other programs I applied to, so…there’s that as well.
