Hey Julie! Im gonna be a hospitality major too My name’s Kelsey…Ill add you right now!

Hi everyone! My name is Abhilash and I am going to be attending CPP this fall. I’m a business administration major and will be dorming. Looking forward to meeting new people.

Dorming for Fall 2011! I just signed up for the dorm request last night for Alamitos Hall & Encinitas Hall. I heard these two are the best ones.
I’m deciding to if i should take a car down there. Just to be convenient. But what yall think? I’m from the bay
Majoring in hospitality management. Anyone else?

I’m for sure taking a car… Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Hey there rob!
Yes, i would say having a car is very good thing…

i know i should get a car huh. but my pocket ain’t loose & insurance ain’t that cheap. i’ve been trying to convince my “asian” mom to get me a car. but u know how asian moms are…if u do. but whenever they don’t know something they go chat with their friends & when their friends tell them about their kids not having a car also, my mom ain’t getting me one.
her friend’s son in UCLA- a nerd. not havin a car. he’s doin fine.
her friend’s relative alumni @CPP - no car she was fine.
her friend who visited CPP - “oh it’s in the center of the pomona city. everything is convenient no car needed”
…
so i live in the bay area. i get to ride my bart & muni all that to go around.
when i go there. i don’t got all that. the closest grocery from cpp campus is 10mins drive away. how the hell am i gonna walk that far with coming back with all the bags.
the shuttle is known for not being on time. but i think knowing my mom, if i tell her that she’d just say “wake up earlier or get ready earlier then” -_-
how would u convince an asian mom? haha

Just make friends with someone with a car and pitch in for gas :)

I don’t think you would really need to go to the grocery store anyway unless you live off campus.

You’re going to need your car if you want to have a social life. Also of course people are going to need to go to the grocery store. You’re going to get tired of the food around you, and sometimes you’re going to crave something that isn’t available around you.

@ sassy - haha i know hoppin in another person’s car is an option but i don’t wanna be like hella buggin all the time. i don’t like that.

@ bl4ke - i didn’t exactly mean grocery stores. i mean im a girl. what if i need to buy daily things u know?

@ dripz - yea ikr. im tryin to convince my mom. if she aint helpin im workin my ass off durin these few months to see what i could get wit it =[

Well roB the person to hop into a car with probably needs or wants to go where ever Ur going… It’s just a plus if u chip in for gas …

First off a car isnt a REQUIREMENT you can do just fine with having a bike and catching trains, its more of hastle, but trust me, its Way more FUN. Driving in a car is too easy, but biking to locations with your friends and figuring out ways how your your gonna get there is pretty fun because of the adventure not knowing exactly how your gonna get there lol. Also having a bike or something provides for great excercise. Im not saying dont get a car, but i am saying that ALL you dont need a car. Whats the point of everyone having one when we can just pile up in someone elses car and save like 2 grand per person? Idk, thats just my take one it. And driptz is totally wrong saying that you would’nt have a social life…Really?? why wouldnt u have a social life because of a car? I would think it would be the opposite.

Hey guys! So i’ll probably be going to Cal Poly this fall for Mechanical Engineering…my question is that since it’s only 15 miles away from me am I still required to live on campus because I’m a freshmen or am I exempt?
