@ik47476 - Did you have 3 or 4 tabs?

I have 3 tabs… does that mean I am rejected
Have this way of looking into admissions worked ?

And does anyone have 4 tabs ?

I have the 4 tabs

Is there anyone with 3 tabs who without a doubt should be getting in? If so please list your stats so us with 3 can try and feel better.

That means for sure I am also rejected :(

Guys, this tab thing is not a guarantee. They could just be messing with all of us. DON’T LOSE HOPE.

You could of gotten waitlisted. I have three tabs too so just to keep me calm im going to hope for the waitlist

While I don’t think there are any absolutes when it comes to the admissions game, I did think my daughter was a pretty good lock to be accepted. I’ll give you a little more info about her than I previously posted.

ACT: 34M, 33E, GPA 3.97 unweighted
Hispanic
Most of the usual type EC’s that you see on this board, but one that I thought was a standout was the she started an exercise program (swimming) for underprivileged kids. She called local establishments trying to find a pool that they would let the kids use for free. She found a lifeguard that would donate their time–she did everything, I was proud of her, but then again I’m her parent. ;)

She was accepted to Vanderbilt via MOSIAC or whatever it’s called which is where she is planning on going. I’ve been checking GA more to see what kind of financial aid she might get–I assumed she would get in. But like I said, nothing is a sure fire thing–she only has 3 tabs on her application page.

Regardless, I wish you and everyone else good luck. I know for many of you Tech is your number 1 choice, I hope that it works out for each of you. :)

@implode - If you don’t mind me asking, what kinds of classes did she take?

@implode

I too believe nothing is guaranteed but you’re daughter is one special girl. There’s no way they could turn down that. Regardless of what happens, I hope the best for all of us.

@ Harsha

I don’t mind at all. For her freshman year she went to a “ranked” high school where she took all honors courses and got straight A’s. We then moved to a rural location of another state where there are (to be polite) no good high schools. She took the hardest they had to offer, but they offered no honors or AP courses at all. Perhaps Tech counted that against her? Would seem odd though to hold that against her when she had no option to take better courses.

Anyway, I hope that helps. Best of luck to you. :)

So only 2 people on this thread have 4 tabs on their status? Agh I really hope they update a bunch before 12 o clock hits!!

@implode - Thank you for the extra information Since GA Tech has holistic judgement, she should have been a STRONG candidate; especially because of the lack of AP courses available at her school. But I think that for people who did have the ability to take AP/IB courses and did not take advantage of it to the greatest extent, it may have worked against them because GA Tech strongly bases acceptances on class rigor and the recalculated GPA which weights all AP/IB courses. But her ECs look amazing and should have compensated and given her a leg up because that is arguably GA Tech’s #1 consideration. But anyway, thank you again for your response, I really appreciate it.

On the ‘financial aid’ tab, there is n link ‘my award letter’. Do others see it?

@HubliDoks - Yes, I do (I was looking in the wrong place)

Ok so I’ve been reading this thread for a little while and decided to post to try to hopefully put a few of you guys at ease since you are all panicking over what I think is a buzzport bug. Buzzport/t-square are known to have weird bugs so I wouldn’t look into this tab issue too much.

I know that the admissions stats look really intimidating, but from my experience here they seem to be over inflated. My friends and I all applied from OOS with mediocre stats and no URM and we all managed to get in. A lot of the freshmen I’ve met here didn’t even have close to the stats they suggest as the “average.”

After seeing the stats posted in this thread so far I’d be really surprised if anyone got rejected, let alone most of you. So relax and don’t take this tab business too seriously.

HubliDoks , there’s no additional tabs on my niece buzzport. But she found she could use her gatech mail( *****@gatech.edu) to write and send email this morning. Does this indicate anything?

so. buzzport crashed i can’t open up application status
