lmao I was on this thread this morning and checked back a few hours later and saw 87 new comments. Thought for sure emails were out lmao. The color of text made for good reading
So question.
Would you ever go to an anxious, nervous, rushing judgement on emotions Dr/Surgeon?
Or
You prefer to see a Dr who thinks outside box and have a broader persepctive?
@777629 For most schools, but with exception of last year, WUSTL typically released decsions around March 8-10. However, the scholarship decisions were released a week earlier this year than they were last year, so i think some of us though they were going to go back to the pattern of being pretty early.
I searched through my email, and as far as I can tell, the only email I received last year on decision day was at 5:30 PM telling me decisions were released on the portal.
The color thing is kinda freaky. I mean they wouldn’t put different colors in different portals just for fun… Mine is red btw.

That was all a hoax, @IlluminatiIsReal
@PPofEngrDr Med school and board exams and residency is all just stress. Sorry to break it to ya, but a vast majority of people in very prestigious roles such as surgery are Type A (in a good way) and care a great deal about achieving for their hard work. That falls in line with stressing out about college/med school/residency decisions. It doesn’t make one any less of a physician.
(pre-meds, MDs, and med students, please don’t take this the wrong way!!)
@habitualnerd agree with stress part, but would you allow that stress to overrule your decision and thought process?
I am sure lots of psychology study during med school route will be learning moment.
What message I am trying to convey is we are overly concerned/hyped about admission outcome and not taking a chill. If you want to be a cool Dr, start practicing now, as that is not an academic that you will learned unless you practice.
So is it unlikely to be today?
Can someone call the admissions office?
ya can someone please call :c
Why don’t you?
i live in a remote village in africa, it costs 50 dollars to make a call… literally in a cyber cafe typing these messages… some sensitivity would be nice :c @IlluminatiIsReal
Lmao yeah why don’t you just call if you’re capable
@Sweetcookie18 read my comment man???
I just called. Gave the party line “by April 1st”!
@chisquareNomad I wasn’t aware of your condition so I don’t think you should be blaming me for not being sensitive. Also, I didn’t single you out I was also asking @matt4isu the same.
Lol not you @chisquareNomad I meant the person who asked @matt4isu
@chisquareNomad I didn’t mean you, I meant the person who asked @matt4isu
Hey guys. I was deferred ED and back on this thread. Emailed my adcom about a decision date and got this message:
“Unfortunately, we’re keeping the date that we’re releasing Regular Decision decisions confidential so I’m sorry I don’t have any update to share. We know this is an anxious time and appreciate your patience.”
And we keep on waiting.
