clemson admission decisions class of 2022?

Still waiting in PA, no mail & no activation code message on the housing portal. 1350 SAT, top 20% of class, various honor societies, AP classes, etc…feeling pretty pessimistic at this point.

@m2msoccer what major did your child apply for?

Applied for Business with 4.6w 3.4uw, 1380 sat, 31 act, Varsity sport, multiple ec, haven’t heard back yet

Just got in for general engineering OOS(MA) 29 ACT 4.2 wgpa 3.8 uwgpa top 15% of class.

Nothing in Illinois yet. Anyone else in Chicagoland still waiting?

@xtiger10 congratulations! Can you tell me about when you applied and about how long it took to receive a decision? Thank you!

everyone posting about receiving their acceptance or denial letter this week, could you please tell me when you applied so that we can gauge how long it takes to receive a decision? Thank you!

@evergreen15 same here, as hard as it is don’t think of it as rejection… I’ve done some research and it’s definitely a better thing to be deferred than waitlisted. Are you OOS? (We are in So. CA)

@JackellynT my son applied 9/1/17… took them almost 6-1/2 months, got deferred letter Monday. Clemson clearly states on their website they do NOT do EA, ED or are they rolling. However clearly many (highly gifted) found out in the Fall.

@Mweb136 - She applied as a math BS major

no answer STILL here in VA! Applied by priority deadline end of October for Nursing

D applied on January 1.

@MayBIvyMomma the application date tells us why you did not get merit money with acceptance From other threads I know your child has great numbers and would no doubt get money from Clemson but the priority deadlone for money was was dec 1.

That said with your child’s stats if she is really interested in Clemson I would reach out to admissions asi think they some more merit money they give out to those who apply after December 1

@dochoo They only mailed the letters Friday and Saturday (assuming you applied before Dec 1?). It’s reasonable that yours hasn’t made it there yet. I’m sure its coming. Every year a few get lost in the mail. One year an entire zip code of Clemson letters near us disappeared. Give it a few more days and then Call next week fi it doesn’t arrive.

Everyone in our town has gotten a decision but my D. We are in SC! Frustrating

Lol, ok I was slightly wrong this morning my DD’s white envelope from Clemson contained an offer for the waitlist, which is essentially a polite denial!

There is no way to know on this. For instance, my daughter applied in late Oct. and was accepted in less than three weeks. There are/were others in her class that applied in August and just now getting their decisions.

@Klmot, here’s the link to clemson’s username potal setup: https://studentonboarding.app.clemson.edu/

@labegg - I feel your pain. University of Florida has an unpredictable acceptance pattern too. Both of my kids were outstanding SAT / ACT, wGPA 4.2-4.3, multiple AP’s, multiple honor societies, multiple leadership in consistent activities, summer employment, outstanding recommendation letters, amazing essays…and neither got accepted. It stung quite a bit at first. My son is now a sophomore at UCF and loving it beyond our highest hopes and dreams on full scholarship, and daughter just got accepted to Clemson. I hate to be dreamy and weird about it but I believe things happen for a reason.

@eyedocmommy. Thank you. It’s not dreamy or weird! I appreciate your sentiment and that you reached out to offer some comfort. Now, I am not sure I subscribe to the “things happens for a reason” belief, lol, but we definitely subscribe to the bloom where you are planted belief at our house! No school is “perfect” and no school should have made any student’s list that a student wouldn’t have been happy to attend. Therefore nothing is a conciliation prize, it is just a different option! It is all about how we frame it! Best wishes to your daughter at Clemson! I suspect I have an Aggie!
