@ivy Are you out of state? Just wondering, since you mentioned you studied at BYU and that’s in Utah. That may increase/decrease your chances.

Oh and results come out officially on May 1st, although they may come out earlier if the cluster you applied to isn’t particularly competitive.

And the bioengineering and biofuel clusters are new this year to UCSD… don’t really know how you could determine whether they are competitive or not based on last year’s applications. :]

Any musicians competed in Southwestern Youth Music Festival? If I get into COSMOS, I can’t perform this year. Just another reason to anticipate that fateful email >_<

Hi guys!
So I’m a freshman and my GPA is 3.89 (we’re not allowed to take weighted classes this year). I applied for the UC Santa Cruz for 1) Cluster 3: Under the Sea 2) Cluster 8 Marine Mammals & Oceanography 3) Cluster 7: Astronomy & Oceanography.
They seem relatively “easy” compared to the other clusters, but I haven’t taken Chemistry yet so a good portion of my options is already wiped out… -.- Still, they’re pretty competitive clusters from what I heard.
What are my chances? I don’t have anything planned out for the summer other than COSMOS and a couple small summer camps… What else can I do over the summer? I want to be ahead of my peers by next fall, in both extracurriculars and academics. Suggestions, please? (:
