Delaware Class of 2020 Acceptances

Hey everyone, I found out I was admitted 2 days ago through the portal! I am OOS and applied undecided. They notified me of recieving all my materials on 12/7. I have a 4.0 weighted gpa, an 1840 sat, involved in a few clubs and organizations, worked the past 2 summers, and took 2 IB classes and 3 college classes.

Is anyone else having trouble signing into their application checklist site today?

@cupcake0406 my S got his acceptance on 2/1 (applied 12/19) and merit aid is posted on his portal as of this morning.

Congrats to those accepted so far. Doesn’t seem that fast to us (all materials received by 10/28 and still waiting) so I think it depends on your stats and major.

Still waiting here too! All materials received 11/29. OOS Engineering. 1990 SAT, 4.2 GPA, NHS, great EC’s, 5 AP’s and the rest all Honors.

Still waiting here also! All materials received 11/8.

@nynance49 Which major?

@SALSRL Environmental Studies

@dbjs70 what major did your son apply under if you dont mind me asking?

@cestlavie3978 my S applied for engineering.

Still waiting here for decision on engineering, too.

@cestlavie3978, my S was engineering. We’re OOS, ACT 35/top 10% of class (out of ~370)/3.8 UW GPA. All AP/honors and several 3 and 4 year ECs.

D was accepted today, checked portal and update was there!

in state applicant

My daughter was accepted yesterday…also nothing in mail but found out by checking portal. All materials were received by12/2 so about 9-10 weeks. OOS, College of Education, a bit low on the SAT -1790, but 4.0 GPA, top 10% and tons of APs and extracurricular. Hope that helps anyone worrying about lower SAT - they did take everything else into account! Good luck to all!

My S received a package in the mail from UDel a couple of days ago which was about a week after he was accepted and found out via the portal.

Hi there! I applied to UDel for chemical engineering and it is currently my top choice
SATs:1970
GPA: 3.6 on 4.0+ scale
APs: 4, all other classes are honors
Extracurricular: varsity sports for 4 years as well as spring musical for 4 years and drama for 1
My application was complete and I was notified of this via an email on 10/27. Sometime around early December I received the same letter as many others saying due to the competitive nature of my major they hope to give me good news by mid February. I know UDel chemical engineering is extremely competitive and highly ranked, but no other school compares to me. Has anyone been accepted to chemical engineering yet? The letter makes me extremely anxious and this waiting game is killing, especially when saying they HOPE to give me good news in February means it could be even longer.

I was accepted to the University of delaware chemical engineering program on February 3rd. I applied December 15. I am also instate. 1920 SAT with 720 SAT Chem. 4.0UW & 4.9W GPA. 9 AP classes top 5% of class and alot of extracurriculars.

It took about 6 weeks
