hahaha. I personally have never been to a wal-mart, but I can assure you that if you were doing homework at midnight and 15 seconds worth of gunshots went off literally in front of your house, you would be at least a little startled. I'm not saying that my life is hard because of last night, as that only happens a few times a year. I was just sharing a story. It seemed topical. And I do have an econ exam tonight that I was trying to study for but couldn't because of all of the commotion. I also couldn't sleep. So did it affect me? Yes I'm exhausted. Enough to gravely affect me enough to get a boost in admissions? Probably not this instance, no. But you know what has? The fact that I have to work full time while taking 16 units. Granted, this is more a financial disadvantage, but how many hours do you work spywear? If it's 40 like me, I'm confident you will agree that yeah, sometimes life is pretty f'ing hard. And stressful.

And before I finish my lunch break, I'd just like to direct this to spywear with all ethnicity issues aside (since apparently s/he is Jewish):

My 3.8 GPA + 40 hours of work + 16 units this semester >>>> your 3.5 GPA + lay-off from your school's library two months ago + taking no classes this semester.

God I love this forum's post history function, mwhaha!

gg. Kill the thread.

Nah, I'm not Asian. I'm glad I'm not though because I'd probably be forced to go hara-kiri for having a 3.5.

I work about 60-70 hours a week between my day job and bartending at night. But honestly, I definitely understand how difficult and stressful living in an area like that can be after staying in San Bernardino and Riverside for a year and a half.

You're right, I am a dirty Jew. That's probably why I'm so quick to get heated.

Pun intended.

Oh cool. Well good luck to you all!

grey, jw but where in northeast LA do you live?

I live in the Glassell Park area (in northeast LA as well) and have experienced some of the same things like getting stuck in my house because my street was police-taped off due to a shooting.

Helicopters, sirens, and faint gunshots have become like background noise for me haha.

No wonder you find the time to infiltrate the forum with so much antagonism.

erikuh, I live in borderline Cypress Park/Highland Park off of Figueroa Street. You probably guessed it already, but last night was Avenue's-related. One of my neighbors (17 years old) was killed.

spywear old chap, it's time to swallow some pride and man up.

Lol @ loller

Tell me what to do.
