EA decisions mailed 12/19

mylovelybones, don’t lose hope, just make sure to send your next available grades. Are you IS or OOS?

The only thing I see on the VIP site as far as paying for anything is under the tab where it says financial, but that’s only for current students because it’s to pay for stuff for this school year (2011-2012). Usually you can look for where it says to pay for the dorm deposit under blackboard, but it says that it’s down for maintence.

I’m OOS in New York.

I’ve been accepted so far to Baylor, Auburn, UK, and College of Charleston and USC is my 2nd choice as of now because of their equestrian program…

I’m pretty bummed :(

^^ you have some great schools to choose from already! If SC is a top choice, just keep working to get good first half grades. It’s understandable to be bummed, but try to stay focused and hopefully March will bring good news. :)

Nova…you can log into VIP using your SS number…first time you have to choose a password…then when you log in you can see your VIP ID number, and other information.

VOX…there is a link to pay admission deposit under financial.

ddotjon thank you, worked like a charm! I see a section at the bottom of my S’s financial page that says OTHER and lists “Freshman Enrollment Deposit Payment”…does that mean he is in??

Oh I see! Well it says I owe $200 to enroll to I’m hoping this is a good thing haha

vox232–same message here about the $200 to enroll!! :)

Nova…If you try to pay the deposit, does it ask for $200.00 deposit, and credit card info?

Lets not get too excited…I don’t know what it means for sure. But it looks good, right?

ddotjon, yes, it does ask for cc info and $200. deposit!! I actually came upon my S’s acceptance at another SEC school this same way, those with rejections or deferrals could not see the enrollment payment request link. Again not 100% sure (our mail was just delivered here in NJ, no SC mail today!)…but it certainly looks good!

It does look good! Let’s hope for good news for both our sons! My son was also accepted at UCONN, his only formal acceptance so far. Also applied to SUNY/BING, our instate school, Clemson, VTECH, UMD, UDEL, and JMU.

What about your son?

I have an older son, senior at JMU.

ddotjon I shared our findings on the VIP enrollment payment indicator with a friend who has a S who also applied. She checked VIP and had the same indicator, and 10 minutes afterwards her regular mail came with an acceptance package for her S!! So, it’s looking VERY good! :)

Just received via mail acceptance in NY! Now if only he could get the OOS tuition waiver! No mention of merit money in the acceptance letter.

ddotjon–congrats to your S!!

I also sent you a PM.
