darn it!!! I’m a W as well, it’s just driving me crazy. But it’s okay it’s not that big of a deal i don’t think, it just seems like a big deal to me right now.

yea i think its just a really “efficient” random way of doing it. They seemed to be speeding up on the replies but with the few nor’easters we’ve gotten in the northeast, it’s going to take a couple of days for them to catch up.

my daughter was applied in SEPTEMBER - no response yet - I think the system is terrible!!

It really is VERY frustrating. :/

My son got in today with no word of a scholarship; he had a 33 ACT, 3.8GPA, AP Calc last year with a 5, lots of ECs, etc…

cdrnole, he probably got the scholy. Did he get into the honors college? I got the scholarship with a 2110 SAT, which isn’t as impressive as a 33 ACT (I believe) so I think he’ll get it

@9735255- Yes, this whole “waiting game” is ridiculous and nothing I’ve seen from any of the other rolling schools that I’ve applied to. And I though I had a reason to be upset hahaha. Applying in September an not having heard anything back is really just unacceptable. Hopefully she’ll hear soon. For clarification, does anyone know the actual date by which the EA applicants should hear by?

I think they say Feb. 15th the latest.

^^^@cdrnole… I believe the scholarship information comes with the acceptance letter in the mail. If your son just found out online, I think you have to wait a couple of days for the actual acceptance letter to come with the scholarship info.

He got the letter yesterday and nothing about a scholarship just a paper that talks about sending in the $150 acceptance fee. Based on his grades, scores, I was convinced he would get some money. I wrote an email and asked about it. He has gotten into a bunch of other schools , Pitt, Fordham, Binghamton, Drexel, with scholarships and UConn is no where near his first choice but it just seems strange.

Seems to me they are alot less generous with the scholarship than private schools, and with a much higher requirements to get them. We aren’t plannning on any scholarship, but maybe financial aid based on need. Of course with DD already getting 19K/year in merit from one of her top 3, it is slightly less stressful.

DD’s was just accepted within the last hour…I had to text her at school to see if she wanted me to look and she did, so I did and she is into Storrs. Her application has been completed since Nov. 20.

Congrats to you and your daughter, emah24! :)

around what time does the status on the status checker change?

My daughters status changed probably about 11 am yesterday, but she did not get the email saying a change had occured until today. I was checking constantly for her yesterday, and answer was not there at 10am check but was at 11.

yea i think the statuses usually change in the early hours of the morning and then the decisions are posted around 4-5 that morning.

Has anyone who had heard back NOT gotten into UConn?

im sure there have been people who have already gotten rejections, but I mean after waiting months and months for what basically is a slap in face, I don’t blame them if their upset and don’t want to post lol

what can i do if i’ve forgotten my password? haha
i emailed admissions but no response!

call admissions or the tech center
