Early Decision/Early Action thread

Tough with 1800-1900 without an explanation and no hooks.

seems like a lot of people screwed up on the sat. just for comparisons sake what is the highest score you guys have heard this time around? no need to mention names

I don’t know about others, however I have 2190

Good score man!
JacobsWannaBe, what is your score breakdown? And where are you going to apply under the ED phase?

Wow 2190!!!
That’s really great
Congrats man!

2190’s a great score. the highest iv’e heard so far. just 10 points away from that 2200 though that must be painful

@12hulk345… Thank you brother/sister…

@macmurderharder… it is 700/790/700 — CR/Math/Writing… Have ED-ed COLBY COLLEGE already… a week ago…

@zedleppelin… Thank you. Nope, not in pain at all… I was very lucky to get 2190…

BTW, I am brother :D

Congrats JacobsWanna Be… Hope you will get onto COLBY. My friend got 2160 ( Cr: 720, Maths : 780: Writing: 660 :frowning: ). Will apply ED to Amherst…

@12hulk345 I kind of guessed that you are a brother… However, I didn’t want to come across as a gender bias person, just in case

@hangover2012 Thank you brother/sister

Hey guys and gals!

Greetings!

I see that not much of us have been active in this thread.

So, I applied ED to Skidmore College

I think it would be a sensible thing to disclose our ED choices, and our stats too!

Cheers! May all of our dreams come true!!

Greetings fellow CCians,

Sorry that I haven’t been active lately.

I applied ED to Oberlin College

@macmurderharder : do you know of any other fellow Nepalis who applied ED1 to colleges this year? looks like we are the only one or we are just the ones to disclose.

Anyways, Best of luck to everyone who applied.

@curious365

LOL. I wouldn’t be too sure about us being the only ones who’ve applied. I’m pretty sure many of us are yet to disclose the ED college choices.

So what are ur stats?

@macmurderharder

Of course, we aren’t the only ones.

Stats aren’t quite good.
Not going post those publicly, at least not for now.

What about yours?

My SAT Score is alright, I guess.

Total: 2200/2400
Cr: 670
M: 770
W: 760

Quite happy that the composite is 1400+ (1440).

So I’ve heard that colleges don’t require applicants to appear for the TOEFL test if their Composite score in above 1400. Is that so?

depends, double check with college. I strongly advise you to take the TOEFL so that you dont run into issues later. I had 1410 composite, TOEFL wasn’t waived.

Most of the colleges that I have applied have waived the TOEFL for me… Those who didn’t waive it, missed the application from me…

@macmurderharder: With the SAT score like that you have a great chance at Skidmore. All the best!

@curious365: wow… you really applied to Oberlin?? hmmmm… where did you studied (high school)? According to a very reliable source, I heard that no one has ever got into Oberlin from Nepal except from St. Xavier’s College. not to discourage you though. All the Best!

Hey guys, where are other people applying ED? Please post if you know anyone or your friend applying ED anywhere…

Anyone applied to Harvard, Princeton, Yale in SCEA?

any other ivy league in ED?

@hangover2012: yep, I really applied to Oberlin. I’m from St. Xavier’s College too and I know the one you’re talking about. I knew not many Nepalis apply or get accepted there, that was one of the reasons I applied actually ( not a major reason though ).
