Email from Brown this morning

isn't it eighteen days? exactly. eighteen days because it's basically 5:30 (when I can check) and 31-13=18! 18 days :)

Even though StevenWheatland's posts were stupid they were kinda funny :P

anyways good luck everybody!

I didn't receive an email.

=l

When the e-mail says 5pm your time, then does that mean that you can only check during your region's time? 5pm my time is actually 8pm EST, so I don't know if there would still be people at Brown when it's 8PM EST.

The decisions are up for a few days (or have been in past years), so checking it several hours later will not be a problem. And there is not a connection between when people are still working at the admissions office and the decisions' availability online.

@ ilovepeople:

Me neither. I'm still waiting. I'm really not concerned, though...if I don't get in (which is obviously most likely), it surely had nothing to do with this. Maybe if we never get emails, we should just call the office of admission and ask what time we should go on...or why we didn't get emails. lol.

i haven't received any mail..when should i be getting my decisions?

^ oh dont worry

its beyond me cuz mine say no sooner than 5 PM my local time on 31st

heck i already knew that

^musicmeli6

yea i figured it's not a big deal. i just thought that maybe they'd send out a second round or something and we'd be in that.

whatever. at this point we can't do much. i'll keep my fingers crossed that this is no relation to a rejection.

yea, calling the admissions office isn't a bad idea. let us know what they say.

i don't think its got anything to do with getting accepted or rejected..it would just be better to know when exactly our decisions will be out; 5 or 5:30 or 6...

Mine says 6:30 on the East Coast. But really, this has NOTHING to do with admissions (meaning whether or not you got an email).

wait that's so weird. i'm on the east coast (ma) and it says 5pm for me. are they gonna upload decisions in batches?

I'm wondering if it's really 5pm my local time, because 5pm EDT is 12am my local time. Unless they're releasing it in different batches. Which is probably the case. ignore this post >_>

it's very confusing..perhaps we will all have to gape at our laptops till Brown decides to release our decision..

really it's not a big of deal. I think the time difference is because of the different time we submit our application. I submitted my RD application in early Nov. which I considered myself one of those early birds. so I got my pin pretty early and the time I got is 5 pm. EST

I think that was already suggested and dismissed. I think I submitted my app Dec 31 which is pretty late and the time I got was 5:30 EST.

I don't think so. I submitted my app in late October, and my email says to check at 6:30.

and since i haven't received any mail yet so perhaps i will have to gape at my laptop till Brown comes to my rescue..

Yeah, seriously.

SUPPOSE YOU DIDN'T GET AN EMAIL?

Many have posted saying they received no email re when to log in on the 31st. Is there any significance to be attached to that?
