Late April
Seems as though most who were taken off the waitlist were accepted early on
Any news?
@Emoryhopeful2021 can I ask where you are headed if you don’t get off the waitlist?
Boston University @Dontskipthemoose
@Emoryhopeful2021 congrats! I hope you get off the waitlist, but if you don’t, at least you’ll be attending a very good school.
Thank you I appteciate that I love BU and I can’t knock it as a school but I feel like I just align more with emory, I know that regardless of whether or not I’m admitted I’ll grow to love the school (hopefully)
@bluetiger11 Have you decided on Emory ?
When they say notifications typically occur through midsummer do they mean late june or literally the middle of summer (end of july)
I would assume end of July but I called the admissions office today and they said they’d be finishing up with the waitlist in 2 weeks, but the emory twitter page tweeted that it would be mid summer so I’m not sure who to believe @emorywaitlister
when they say mid summer they mean that there will be very few people admitted in the summer due to people getting off other waitlists. I know that Emory likes to basically finish up their waitlist stuff by june, so in 2 weeks you will kind of know if you are going to get in or not
Fingers crossed @rnn5043
Have they offered spots off waitlist ? bluetiger11 seems to be the only one that we know off.
Everytime I call they say they’ve been updating waitlisted applicants but I haven’t heard of anyone getting in aside from @bluetiger11
Thanks @Emoryhopeful2021. Another week has gone by, let’s see if better luck next week.
I don’t want anyone to lose hope since I still have only a tiny shred of hope myself that I’ll actually be taken off the waitlist but I really think it’s time for us to start getting excited for the schools we’ve deposited for and start thinking about our futures there. It’s better to attend college with optimism than self loathing and regret. We shouldn’t let this admissions process depress us more than it already has
anyone here waitlisted to Harvard ? This should open up at least 10 WL spots.

Any students who are attending Emory do you also happen to be waitlisted to Harvard??
@Emoryhopeful2021 Harvard had a crazy yield and overenrolled this year. Despite rescinding 10 spots, they likely won’t take anyone off their waitlist.
Someone on the Harvard WL thread also speculated that the meme debacle occurred earlier, but it only broke the news recently. That means if they wanted to take people off the waitlist, they would have done so already.
Has anyone heard back from them at all? especially college of arts and sciences?
