Yea I got the letter in snail mail awhile ago, and I got this email today. My friend, who did not get the snail mail one, got this email today, so I really hope that it means he has been accepted. I just hope that they didn't make a mistake and send it to like every EE applicant (my friend and I are both EE's). He didn't get into UCSD, and I did. If we both get into LA... we may go there together and be EE's together =]!

well i know a friend who didnt get the CS one and didnt get the engineering letter. But i know one who got the engineering letter and not this e-mail quite odd

Has anyone tried RSVPing for a spot in those UCLA engineering emails even though they didn't get the email, becuase I use my email through my high school and for some reason I don't get a lot of emails because they get blocked as spam. So I attempted to RSVP just to see if I didnt get the email, and it let me RSVP. Does anyone have any imput on this.

gpine2007 are you talking about the letter or the email?

I'm pretty sure everyone who got the letter will get in, unless they did something to screw up, like failing or dropping classes.

This is a good indication, I think: I got the snail-mail letter last month, but they accidentally put Aerospace Engineering instead of Bioengineering (happened to a bunch of people, I heard). I got an email saying, "You may have already received a letter from me, Associate Dean of the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science at UCLA, admitting you to the Aerospace Engineering major. That letter is in error, and you have been admitted to the Bioengineering major." It even says admitted.

The same exact thing happened to me.
