Fall 2011 Transfer Acceptance Letters

So anxious/worried.

Has anyone received a “rejection” letter?

I am yet to hear back from UW but no transcript loaded :frowning: But yes my friend got a rejection letter.

My transcripts loaded with a student id and telling me that i am a junior. I can also now apply for housing but still haven’t received a letter yet. Less nervous, idk if this means im in or not though but ill say when i get a letter. They loaded on monday. It seems everyones whose transcripts loaded in this thread got in so hopefully i do to. Because why would the give me all that info if not?

@jolly7. My transcript isn’t loaded either. And I haven’t heard anything from UW.
I don’t know if I should just give up or still be hopeful…

@cjwm123 I know. I am starting to give up, but I really wish if I was getting rejected they would have told us earlier rather than later so I can figure out my plans for next year.

I wouldn’t worry yet, i still haven’t received my letter but my transcripts loaded they have until sometime in July before they stop sending letters. I applied an hour before the deadline on FEB 15TH but my friend did 30 minutes later and hasn’t heard anything and he has a 3.7gpa id just wait if i was you.

i havent loaded still…no letter but i wasnt really expecting one this week since im out of state…

@jolly. That’s exactly how I feel. If UW is going to reject me I’d like to know NOW so that I can plan for maybe applying again for Winter. Hopefully we all get accepted soon…

@jolly and cjwm123, I know exactly how you feel, and its very frustrating. I already paid the deposit and turned in financial information for Seattle u. If I am rejected by UW, why take so long to notify me?

I’m in state, 3.6 GPA, AA degree, and I’m a poli sci major

@shuukdawg. That’s what I’m thinking too. In a way it makes me feel better but I still feel unease. I’m probably going to apply for Winter quarter if I don’t get in this time. Or do a petition or something…

Well I got my rejection letter today, guess it’s SU for me

What? I don’t understand. Your GPA is good though…I’m sorry to hear that…

shuukdawg,

you should appeal.

Shuukdawg, I agree with nana. I think you should appeal. It never hurts to try.

I failed my bio and math classes during fall quarter, retook it during winter, but it wasn’t posted on the transcript that I send to UW. My personal statement really sucked as well, I think I only had 650 words and the minimum was 750 I believe. Also I don’t know if it matters but I was a below average student in high school.

Thanks guys, but I’m content with going to SU

Darn, Rejected. GPA wasn’t that great @ 3.3 ish. I did stellar Winter and Spring Quarter, but that was not on my application so admissions wouldn’t know that and I didn’t have 90 credits @ the time of applying. Personal statement was nice and lengthy and clear/precise ( not a sob story either). I guess I just need more EC.

Should I even appeal? Is it worth it since my grades aren’t that hot?

No financial Aid so i can’t afford any other schools around here.

it never hurts to try

boomboom90,

what is your major?
it always worth it. who knows what will happen. Also, if uw still have some open spots, they will fill it.

I’m a Biology ( Physiology) Major. My grades for the major are not super competitive but well enough. Guess I can try. Where do you go to petition it?

If I don’t get in, I’ll just apply for Winter Quarter with some updated grades and stuff. I have 90 credits now… and since I’m not accepted into UW this fall, Should I take more classes even though they will only transfer up to 90 credits? Do they pick and choose which ones to take?
