@Motame

I’ve also noticed that you’re most likely to reach someone directly, if you dial the direct (202) line, rather than the 1-800 number.

agree…
and from what i saw, phone calls are non-stop.

Yeah, I believe the local number is more reliable.

They’re quite busy in that office. I imagine morning US time is probably best, 9-11AM, but that’s just a guess.

Great news everyone!!!

Just got off the phone with the admissions manager, same one that interviewed me yesterday. I got accepted to Columbia!!! He called to tell me, and the admission package should be on its way as we speak!

I am so excited, and I can’t even type or think clear!!!

CONGRATS HISMATIX!!!

Now we have two people total accepted, hopefully, there will be more!!!

CONGRATS Hismatix!!!

CONGRATS Hismatix!!! we are all proud of you!

Congrats! That’s awesome! Sooooo jealous!

@H-max congrats!!

Hismatix, if you don’t mind, can you log into financial aid?

Big congrats man!

That’s awesome news hismatix! Congratulations man!

Thanks everyone!!

I cannot wait until I see more acceptances on the thread. Everyone stay optimistic, this only means the admission managers are working hard!

Right after the phone call, I received the congratulatory e-mail. It also included the link for the financial aid website/planned enrollment form, but I’m still not able to log-in. It gives me error code “IA.” Perhaps it takes some time for the system to update? I will give it some time and if by tomorrow I can’t log in, I will give them a call and inquire about that.

Thanks a lot for responding so promptly. It’s just that I’ve been expecting to hear my decision and interpreted the failure to log into fin aid as a possible sign of rejection. But thanks to you, I will still keep my head up for a while. Congratulations again!!!

Congrats again hismatix, but I can’t help but mention the fact, 30% of 20 applicants here are
6, 2 down 4 left

could be 0 more, 4 more, or 18 more.

hi hismatix, may i ask when your app was completed and under review?

They’ve had my transcripts for awhile, I confirmed, but they’ve finally appeared on my “application tracker.” I’m going to take that as a sign that my application is now under review, holding my breath!

@fy2140

The first part of my application was completed on Feb 1, the second part of my application was completed on Feb 28, right before the Early Action Deadline. There were some issues with my prior university’s transcripts, apparently GS never received them, so I had to re-order them. Finally, around mid-March the application tracker showed those transcripts as being received on March 19. Although I did notice, after checking my tracker a few times a couple of weeks later, the receipt date for the same transcripts changed to March 27. I have no idea why. Perhaps they found the first set I ordered and felt necessary to update the tracker again? Who knows…

I honestly thought, because of my transcripts were received “late” or after the early action deadline, it was going to push my application decision even further. I am not sure when my application went under review, and well you know the story of when I was contacted for the interview.

Hope this helps! Any more questions let me know!
