Thanks guys for your support. I know it’s too early to prescribe oneself a fatal verdict (I know, I’m being so dramatic!). But it’s really beginning to be extremely hard to deal with the wait…

I would wait until the end of the month to actually freak out. I just took the GSAE a week ago, but they told me I would still be considered for Early Action. I’m not really worrying until next weekend. Following that, if I don’t hear anything, I’ll give them a call the next Monday to see if they can give me some idea of when to expect some kind of notification.

Yeah I agree with Motame. No point in freaking out until the very last day. I looked at the threads from past years and it seems like a handful of people found out either on May 1st, or the day before. I know all of us were hoping we would be one of the lucky ones that found out earlier but just remember its not over yet! So try and not to lose your confidence and doubt yourself. I mean just looking at this thread and seeing how crazy its all gotten us is just proof of how much work and time we’ve all put into our applications. Hopefully, it will show on our apps as well. I’m just sort of glad that finals are right around the corner, it’ll give me a bit of distraction in the meantime! lol

Oh and Congrats to you guys that got accepted!!! I plan on joining you guys soon!

@natdcny, what kind of business do you run?

The good news is that no one in this thread has received a rejection letter, so the rest of us still stand a chance! Let’s keep things positive!

Furniture design and manufacturing business in Manhattan, for designers only.

Big congratulations to everyone who’s been accepted. I look forward to seeing y’all on Storybook, at Academic Planning Sessions, and for orientation. Good luck to those still waiting.

Also, don’t hold any deadline as sacred. Things take time, and just because you haven’t heard anything yet (or even by the end of April) doesn’t necessarily mean you’re in or out. Try not to go crazy reading tea leaves.

All continuing students have already registered, so there’s functionally no difference in APS dates until you get to the end of August. The other few hundred GS students don’t matter much except on the margin.

Thanks campaigner

Campaigner, I’ve noticed your post on past threads, are you a current student?

:( got invited to Storybook but it is super quiet. No one seems to be using it. I was so thrilled to get the invitation but after attempts to get conversations going with no luck, I stopped using it. So far, not a useful tool at all…this site seems to have more going for it. Congrats to those recently accepted btw!!

last week to come yeah!

Good Luck everyone!!! If everyone gets in we are so having a CC thread coffee meet-n-greet!

Good way to meet some new study buddies!

Good luck everyone in the start of a new week!

I would also like to join ssantana in wishing best of luck to everyone this upcoming week!!!

ditto here!

Also, I would venture to say that if you posted in this thread we don’t make up a complete or totally random sample of the applicant pool. The 23% (or whatever it is) only applies if we’re talking about everyone who applies. Not everyone who applied is invested enough in their application, to GS or anywhere else for that matter, to go the extra mile and research who has done this successfully to make sure their application is competitive. I would say the majority of us on here probably also took the time to speak to faculty who have gotten students into schools like GS before, had qualified individuals editing our essays, and gotten feedback from alumni on multiple occasions.

I can tell you the majority of people I met taking the GSAE on campus when I went were not that invested in their application. I’m not saying they weren’t capable, but a lot of them had shown up after one information session about GS with a “what the heck, why not” approach. Grades were totally varied across the board.

All I’m saying is that I really doubt you can start crossing off open seats based on the odds compared to the total number of people posting in this thread. Just a thought.

Agreed, these folks are obviously heavily invested and I’m sure that came through in their applications. Good luck all, expecting to see lots of happy post this week.

Motame, when did you take the GSAE? And did you take it on campus?
