anyone know how/when fin aid decisions are mailed?
[/quote]

I remember reading somewhere that the fin aid office asked for the form as soon as possible so that the aid can be worked out by the time the admissions office is through. Maybe the aid details will be sent with the admission decision.

umm, i dun think so......though i hope u are rite :)
then receivin my aid statement will mean i got in :D

If i'm right, then the covering letter of your aid statement will say
CONGRATULATIONS, WE WILL BE HONOURED TO HAVE YOU AT MIT

All you Indian Applicants, you sent in your 2003-04 income tax returns, didnt you? I did, and my application tracker says they want those for 2004. I assume they mean 2004-05, and there is no way i can send those to them until late May, at best!!

ya man same prob!!! my dad says it only comes out in singapore ard late april too......:(
i sent a letter explaining tt it will come late and should be similar to last yr's.....

did they reply? I sent one today too, and im wondering if i need to wait for one

An important question regarding DHL:

Do they work on Sunday? or Do we have to count the delay due to the weekend in addtition to the normal faster-than-snail speed?

DHL offers Saturday pickup and delivery, but does not explicitly mention Sunday. I would suspect, like other carrier services, their planes are flying 24/7, but not to make deliveries. Visit their website (http://www.dhl.com) and select the Transit Times tab to learn the expected transit times from Cambridge (zip code 02139) to wherever you are (they even give expected international transit times).

Oh, thanks, mootmom.

So in the microscopically slim case, my assumed acceptance could be here on Tuesday.

Anybody here have experience with Europe-Massachusetts snail mail? I'm a domestic applicant (US citizen) but I live in Belgium, how long do you reckon it'll take for my decision to get here?

I think they'll DHL it.

Hey, what day do you think for a PA guy?

I live about 45 minutes away from MIT. Is it possible that I get it on Saturday?

send a postcard today, use document tracking. see if it gets there tomorrow ;)

hey shash_rao, no;they have yet to reply....mit can take pretty long to reply at times....

hey Merc...i dont think i have ever been nice to you (@ the indian thread) but i truly hope that you get in...u deserve it more than most other ppl @ TiT (the indian thread)

wah thnx ah adi!!!! so we shud not get the coveted few places.......... :(

j/k ;)
