It says June 4, 2012.

Don’t worry about the conflicting dates - casinoexec will give us all plenty of warning when it’s time to get tickets. Right, casinoexec? We’re counting on you.

lol I’m sure I will. And remember Package B is what you want unless you’re from OOS and your kid is going home for Thanksgiving and won’t be back in time for the auburn game.

Ok, Thank you!

its june first

Both of the sites I found say June 4.

Click “Submit” in order to verify that you agree to the terms of the purchase.

2012 Student Football Ticket Information

Important Dates
June 4: New Student Sale Begins (Split Packages Only)

Roll Tide! :)

pardon my ignorance, but would a student only be able to purchase season passes with the auburn/al game inclusive and/or exclusive? would the student be able to purchase tickets for his/her family as well? would the student ticket allow the student to sit with his/her friends that may also have season passes or are they assigned a particular seat?

New students are only allowed to buy a package (3 or 4 games) their first year. So this year it’s either
package A:
Western Kentucky
Ole Miss
Texas A&M
Western Carolina

or Package B:
Florida Atlantic
Miss St (homecoming)
auburn

Unless you’re an OOS student that will be going home for Thanksgiving and will NOT be back on campus in time for the auburn game I suggest you buy package B.

There is also a donated ticket list where kids can sign up the week before the game and get a ticket for the game if they don’t have one. You can also trade, buy, or gift from one student to another.

Student seating is general admission so you can sit anywhere in the designated student section (except the block seating areas prior to 30 mins to kickoff). The lower bowl areas closer to the 20 yrd line are more coveted and fill up quick so sometimes kids wait in line 2 hours before the gates open so they can sit in those seats.

Student tickets may be converted to student guest tickets by going to Coleman Coliseum the week of the game and paying the conversion fee (face value - $5). You’ll then be issued a paper ticket for the student guest and that will allow the guest admission to the student section without having to show an ACT card like students have to. Unless you’re a kid I really don’t recommend this. Much better to just buy a normal ticket and meet up with your kid before and after the game.

awwww…I wanted my son home for Thanksgiving…I know he is going to want the Auburn game and Homecoming game. Darn…we may have to go to him for thanksgiving!

If you can get him a flight back early Saturday morning then he could possibly do both Thanksgiving and auburn game.

So we are thinking about driving down for Thanksgiving as son will not want to miss the Iron Bowl (and is planning to get Pkg B). Here is my question, any ideas of where to stay in Birmingham or at the coast? and when do the game festivities begin? in other words when do we need to have son back to campus? we may stay and tail gate but not have tickets…ideas? casino? others?

Do you want to stay elsewhere or just figure you can’t get a hotel in Tuscaloosa? If you want to stay in Tuscaloosa send me a PM and I might be able to help.

The game will most likely have a 2:30 pm kickoff. I would plan on being back on campus by noon at the latest. Most tailgating will start around 10am. Traffic will be heavy especially if you’re coming from B’ham so be sure to add an extra hour or two to your drive time.

I’m tentatively thinking about staying down at the Coast Weds-sat and then staying in B’ham Sat nite, somewhere near the airport. Guess I should get working on that. Tickets are another story. Trying to talk H into watching from the quad, but don’t think I will be successful.

*would the student be able to purchase tickets for his/her family as well?

would the student ticket allow the student to sit with his/her friends that may also have season passes or are they assigned a particular seat?*

1) No, the student can only purchase a ticket for himself.

2) No, the student’s ticket only lets him sit in the Student Section. For a family member to sit with the student, the parent would have to buy a converted student ticket and sit in the student section. However, please note that the Student Section does NOT have assigned seating, so it’s a come early, find a seat, situation in the SS.

A student with a student tix couldn’t sit with someone in the season pass section (or the other ticketed sections) because all those sections have already sold seats.

Our tour guide said that it is quite common for freshmen to sell their tickets and can make as much as $500 for one gameday ticket. The guide said some students fund their books, etc. this way…

My DH was surprised, as at OU and other schools it is strictly forbidden to sell student tickets (although you do see it being done online…)

Is it within the rules for freshmen (or any students) to resell their football tickets?

Seems tough on freshmen who really want to use tickets to see the games.
