@briggs23 they may have needed specific confirmation for those people who got phone calls and thought why not just tell them. The rest may already have been devices without the need of a call
Anyone get mail today?
Looks like it might just be Monday for me. Checked the mail and there was nothing from Georgetown, and I live a half hour from DC.
Yeah I live about an hour from DC, and no mail for me either. Stinks cause tomorrow is my 18th and I was really looking forward to celebrating x2. Oh well…
@northstarfx I believe it was my regional admissions officer; she does not deal only with the school of nursing and health studies. When she said a “handful,” I believe she was talking about all of the schools, but I am not 100% sure. I sent an email shortly after I was waitlisted with a couple of updates to my application, including new leadership positions in extracurriculars and my February 2016 ACT scores. I did not think that Georgetown would consider scores from this late ACT based on what I read online, but I received an email confirming that all the info I sent had been added to my file.
@lineleader @bretts916 @briggs23 They did not ask me any questions or need any information before offering me my spot in the class of 2020 via phone. I was sent an email confirmation from the admissions officer of my acceptance after the committee convened and reviewed my application the day after the phone call. I was told that I would receive an official letter in the mail in the next few days, which will probably be along with everyone else who has been accepted, regardless of whether or not you got a phone call. I have no idea why they would have called me and not others. I hope you all get good news on Monday!
Just gonna “wait and hope” for an email/mail today. GL everyone!
Please post if there is something in your mail today!
Hey guys,
Did you get any kind of confirmation from Georgetown when you filled out the Google form confirming that you wanted to remain on the waitlist?
@joecool101 Yeah you should have received a confirmation email letting you know you said “Yes” to being on their waitlist
I didn’t get any email? It seems like most people didn’t get any kind of confirmation
Like I filled out the Google doc on the day they sent me the email notifying me that I am on the waiting list. But I didn’t receive anything. Later I filled it out again just to make 200% sure that I am on the waiting list, and this time I received something like we have received your confirmation.
Does that mean that they didn’t receive your form if you didn’t get a confirmation email?
I didn’t get a confirmation either but I sent them material that was clearly about being a waitlist. They can be so frustrating sometimes.
I didn’t get a confirmation but I know from my counselor that they did receive my response to the waitlist. Did anyone get anything in the mail today?
yes
It looks like people who submitted it earlier (I filled out my form the day I got my decision) haven’t gotten responses, but people who filled it out later have. They might have edited the form to send automatic replies a few days after they released decisions or something…
or if u sent in something they might still have you on it
Apparently my letter is at home, my mom said it looks thin
Probably a bad sign, any thoughts
@nsliyromanov What state do you live in?
