@NYMom123 I don’t think they have been announced yet, but last year there were two RD accepted student GAAP events – the second and third weekends in April. The Early Accepted GAAP weekend this year is March 22-23.
Why would they have a GAAP weekend at Georgetown on March 22, if they don’t release RD decisions until April 1st?
@SlimJim005 …the March 22-23 is for students who were accepted REA.
I heard that Georgetown will be sending out the RD letters on March 26. We’re getting there guys!
That’s still two weeks away. The waiting is getting tough.
@snowy2010 Where did you hear this
DeferredThenRejectedParty2019
i heard they will mail out march 23rd
last year RD kids heard back on Tuesday, March 27th
I think they will be mailed on Friday 3/22 and Northeast people will start hearing Monday 3/25 and rest starting 3/26 when the mail arrives.
My daughter was deferred…

Still waiting!
My mother wasn’t on “Desperate Housewives” and my parents didn’t pay the tennis coach $200K. Do I still have a chance???
My SAT really is 1560 - no phony proctor.
Only if they kick out the students currently at Georgetown involved in the scandal; then there will be a few extra spots opening up
@SlimJim005 @donskymom
BAHAHAHAHA I. AM. DECEASED.
Best of luck everyone!
Georgetown recently sent my son an email giving him an extension until March 15 to complete Part II of the application. If Georgetown is sending out decisions beginning March 23, that means they’ll have a week (at most) to review his whole application. Sounds like the university is just trying increase its number of applicants for ranking purposes, and has no intention to accept those they’ve issued extensions to.
@SlimJim005 doubt it, sorry bud
I’m really nervous guys… Georgetown never received my mid year report, yet never reached out to me about it.
However, they emailed my counselor this morning asking for it. Do you guys think this means I got rejected? This honestly is hitting me hard.
@hg0987 No. It is neutral to good news. I would not assume it means they have decided to reject you already. That seems to me the least likely explanation.
@hg0987 Why would it mean you were rejected? If anything this should be taken as a good sign. They are probably making final decisions and want to make sure they have all the information they need.
Is there a checklist on their portal to see if all financial documents were sent in? Most of my other schools asked for some further documents on their portal but Georgetown only seems to have the checklist for application documents.
