hi, i also have a green box on my portal… any clue what this means (probably nothing but i’m so nervous i’m over analyzing everything)!
When do deferred students hear back?
Same time as regular decision
https://uapply.georgetown.edu/account/login
they make their portal so hard to find- I could only find it because I had it bookmarked
Since today is the first day of EA admitted students weekend, shouldnt the letters be mailed out?
Saw my interviewer who said that letters are being mailed out on the 27th and that decisions will be available on the 30th on the Georgetown portal (for the first time ever). That’s all I know
Is it a disadvantage to apply undeclared?
@chrisread I don’t think so at all; the most popular intended major for admitted students is undeclared (source: Georgetown information session)
Were letters supposed to be mailed yesterday?
My friend who was there today for EA admitted students confirmed that the letters will be mailed on March 27th
I no longer have the green check marks with what I submitted on my portal…just my address, when I paid my app fee, and my application proof. Did this happen to anyone else? Is this a bad sign?
@california1522 it probably doesn’t mean anything so don’t worry about it.
Waiting is the hardest part. As of now, it looks like decisions won’t be out for another week. Good luck everyone!
Peeps…
If you need to have any discernible mystery it’s contained in the letter you will receive come Wed through Saturday with likely some outliers into the following week.
The postage is the tell. ~$.50 and it’s likely a Rejection. ~$.70 and it’s likely an Acceptance.
It’s less than a week away for most so until then as always close into the moment strong in all areas of life. This will best prepair you for one of two likely scenarios. Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down. Of course there is the third option, the extended waitlist from Hell. The Waitlist is for the most Super Optomistic and Confident of individuals who against all odds believe Georgetown has a spot for them.
Best of Luck to all and shall your Efforts be properly rewarded and may your Dreams come true.
All decisions will be mailed.
All decisions are sent in a small envelope.
Multiple people have claimed that decision letters will be mailed out next Wednesday, March 27th.
Check the Georgetown Admissions twitter account for any updates.
Some of you guys can use USPS informed delivery to check if the decision will show up in the mail that day.
If you use USPS informed delivery::: most likely ::: the postage of $.47 = rejection / waitlist + $.68 = Acceptance.
Good luck everyone!!
I AM SO SCAREDD!!
A friend whose sibling is an interviewer for GTown confirmed through them that decisions will be mailed out this Wednesday the 27th. If this is the case, do you know how long it will take to show up on USPS informed delivery in NJ?
Anyone else have everything disappear from their portal?
@FrenchHorn240, for NJ, you should see it Thursday morning. Like prior poster wrote, all decisions (accept, deny, WL) come in regular envelopes which are scanned as part of UPSP informed delivery. Acceptances have two sheets of paper and in most cases have higher postage, but at least one poster received an EA acceptance with the lower postage. Hope that helps.
@RFM1617 Yes thanks for the info!
