Hey there,
I applied to SFS also, but I haven't received any communication from Georgetown. I called and was told that they are not releasing anything over the phone. Any info from you will help!

Hey,
I called and was told they are not releasing any decisions over the phone. Do you know why they tipped you off over the phone?
Thanks.

How come they told me no info about admissions decisions would be given over the phone?
Thanks.

How come when I called they said no info about admission decisions was being given out over the phone?
Thanks

wow chill out

sorry. I was figuring out how to post. I wasn't catching on. New to this.

i called today as well and the person said the same thing. she also said they are being mailed on the 15th.....

I am afraid I annoyed the SFS admissions counselor. There was a mix up with some documents and I was not notified. Instead, I contacted them twice. A school of mine expects to hear from me soon and, if admitted to Georgetown, I would like the time and opportunity to visit. I feel I rushed Gtown, which can't be good. I will hear very soon, they said, which makes me nervous. I hope all of my other information was received.

Received an acceptance letter in the mail today. Major: Political Economy (College)

Accepted! I'm so excited!

yayyy letter came today

should I retake- 630cr, 780m if I want to transfer to Georgetown for business next year?

Does anyone know how to do an internal transfer in Georgetown?

accepted through mail, but won't be matriculating

ghapetto--did you consider applying to the School of Foreign Service?

I was waitlisted (not the extended one) last year in College, so I just continued there again this year. It also seems like the College allows for a bit more freedom with course selections. I am thinking of doing a Certificate Program in African Studies through SFS though.

Hey ghapetto, ilabcurious1423,
Either of you know anything about the transfer interview process? Were all transfers offered interviews?

You think your application was** competitive*, but you have to realize that someone always loses in a **competition*.

try again next year/good luck with all your other apps

jgboggs not all transfers were offered interviews...i didnt get one and was worried that was a bad sign, but i was accepted to the college (history)

jgboggs--Yes, I believe all transfers are offered interviews, although they are not required in the application process. I received an email to sign up on their website and interviewed about a month ago.

Thanks ghapetto, good luck! I had trouble deciding between SFS and the College and settled on SFS. We'll see, I urged the office for some information and I will hear soon. As I said earlier, I hope I didn't pressure them too much.
