Was she SFS? Or College?
so are all waitlist admits notified via phone call or do some still find out in a letter?
Did she receive a continue interest confirmation email ?
I was accepted off of the waitlist today for Georgetown College.
@PatrickD97 Letter or phone call? where do you live? congrats!
I got a phone call and I live in California!
did u receive the continue interest confirmation letter by email on May 7
the call made by your regional officer or people in admission office?
what time did u receive the call in CA?
Does anyone know if they accept people off the wait list through the mail? I’ve got this creeping feeling that if you aren’t getting called you’re not getting accepted.
That’s what I’ve assumed throughout this whole process, though I don’t know how true it is.
Look at things this way: Stanford overbooked and Chicago and Duke are done with their waitlist. All the Ivies are done as well except Columbia and Harvard. Columbia takes just a few off the waitlist between May 15th and June 1st. Harvard, though, if ■■■■■■■■■■■■ is to be believed, had a lower than expected yield and is having to go to their waitlist in 2 waves. Judging by snowpocalypse and the higher than expected yield at Stanford, I think this is likely. Now, what is the college likely to have a sizable number of students on the waitlist at Harvard? How about Georgetown? So, I think it is possible that several spots will open up at Georgetown if Harvard pulls some students. All of that is to say, don’t give up hope if Georgetown is your dream school. This is a crazy year.
we will receive reject or on extend waiting list on email that send out on May 15.
Did those who received a phone call also get the email of continued interest?
My d got a call this afternoon. She also got the email of continued interest. We’re in Texas and the call came from D
Sorry, call came from DC
@kitty1 you heard from the admissions office that we will get emails?
no, I should say by snail letter . U am sorry about it. email for international, I believed.
what that mean? called from people in admission office or regional officer from Georgetown offering a spot for your d? she also got the email of continued interest confirmation, correct?
was your d on college?
