Did anyone else just receive an update? Extended extended extended waitlist?
Yep, extended extended extended waitlist with the online only part.
Ditto. Extended, extended. California, College.
Did anyone get a rejection letter, or did all on the WL get the extendedx3 letter?
What does it mean if I got no update? Neither a rejection or extended x3 waitlist
It may mean they want to reach out to you about your interest and an acceptance but they just didn’t do that before they sent out the update. Idk though, but I know that happened for someone with the June update.
I didn’t get any update either. I am confused and anxious.
Same here, especially considering that I have had zero contact with my admissions officer
The person who didn’t receive the updated letter and got accepted in late June, actually received an email from his/her AO before that general letter was sent out.
I did not get an email from my AO so it’s probably bad news.
If it was bad news, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have just cut us loose yesterday? Why let us wait a few extra days if there’s no need for us anymore? But then again, Georgetown does have a reputation of not being particularly ethical with its waitlisted applicants
Hahaha okay so I was officially rejected, so they are definitely narrowing the pool. I was global health major in the NHS and from my research, they didn’t really accept many people (if any at all) from the NHS waitlist so it was definitely expected. What I think is happening is that they only have spots in the college and SFS right now, but again I could be wrong.
I’m going to WashU which is a much better fit for me in terms of academics and the overall vibe.
Best of luck to those still on the extended waitlist!
@Donutmastet, Wash U is a great school! Thank you for updating us.
Well they just announced all classes online and no freshman now on campus in the fall — so even if you get off the WL you won’t get a dorm as no freshman is as of today.
Hi all. I have been following this thread since I was put on the waitlist in March. I applied to the NHS as a nursing major. I was put on the extended waitlist in May and then extended extended in June. I was ultimately rejected yesterday. They did say they noted my strong interest and encouraged me to apply as a transfer after a year or two. I’m not sure if anyone else who was rejected received that in their rejection letter.
Best of luck to anyone still on the waitlist.
@yourcutejeans My D also told same thing about transfer option in 1-2 years
@obmom did your daughter also apply to NHS?
@838388383 She applied to the college. She will be going to Brown.
@obmom, Thank you for sharing this info and congrats to your daughter on Brown!
@klb222 Thank you! Gook luck to your child too!
