Getting your books

from what i'm getting from the previous posts, i don't think you'd be severely disadvantaged. if you're really a bookworm, then just get the SSMs.

another question:is CengageNOW (2-Semester Printed Access Card) different from the OWL Access Card? because i found a cheaper chem. book but it comes with CengageNOW instead of OWL.

I have coupons from Borders, that works well

Yeah the CenageNOW card appears to be different.

Anyway, I'm happy, 'cause I found a new int. edition of the chem textbook for $50!

I'm just wondering ,is now the best time to buy all the books? or are you guys just planning ahead to get the best deals?

i think if your schedule is solid and you're sure you won't change it, itd probably be good just to get the books now.

does the Owl Online Access Code on nedsbooks.com come with the ebook? It says Moore right next to it but it doesn't necessarily say ebook.

Hmm correct me if I'm wrong.

So it seems the cheapest way to buy these materials is:

Ebay:
iClicker

Ned's:
Lab Notebook
Lab Manual 2008

Half.com:
Moore Chemistry textbook

<a href="http://owl.cengage.com/:%5B/url%5D">http://owl.cengage.com/:</a>
owl access code
-I checked the prices for these codes and they're only about 30-40 bucks.
They give you 3 choices - 1 semester, 2 semester, or 2 semester + eBook.
Chem 1A lasts only 1 semester, so I should buy the 1 semester code, right?

whoa nice jimmy

The owl.cengage.com is the right owl access code.
They didn't have all these options last year and it cost about $90 for the code.

thanks jimmy that helped a lot! :]

You guys choose UNIV OF CALIFORNIA as the school?

put in the Cal zip and that comes up at distance 0.0 from 94720

Just want to confirm with someone to but the 1 semester OWL right?

man buying these separately is really cheap in comparison to the packages

yes I'd like to know this too

and np guys lol just takes some reading and looking around

eh sorry to revive a dead thread

so i think for chem we need these:
i-clicker
OWL access code
textbook
lab notebook
lab manual

uhh..if we get the textbook we don't have to purchase the ebook right?

^^ you should add the chem reader to that list. It's listed on Ned's as the Odin Reader and it should be available in a few weeks.

You don't have to get the ebook, but it comes with the OWL whether you want it or not

okay thanks :)

if you buy the owl directly form the site I don't think you need to worry about the ebook, also for 1 semester it costs like $30

umm..are you sure we can just get the 1 semester one..
cuz why does it say 1 semester, 2 semesters, or 2 semesters+ebook..
doesn't 1 semester mean just the access code for 1 semester with no ebook? =</p>

I remember someone posting saying that we only need one semester, can we have someone else confirm it as well?
