bawkbawk,
you should tell them now so that they would be able to facilitate the process more quickly. telling them later would only make you potentially look bad for not saying anything sooner.

Did anyone do a final interview over the phone instead of onsite? advice?

I have the same question as above. I got a final interview invitation, but it will be over the phone instead of onsite. Can anyone give more info on this?

Also, for those who were invited to a final interview on site, how many interviewers did you guys have and how long did the interview take? Did they basically rip apart your resume and question you on most things you did?

Hi all, I had my onsite interview about a week ago. Out of the 3 hours we were in the office, the interview was only 30 minutes. It is truly the most laid back thing ever. I got asked a few questions about my resume, just being asked to explain what I learned from previous internship and what I hope to get out of interning with google. I woud say they do ask a bunch of leadership questions so have some good examples of ur leadership style. Also it is not department specific at all. I am hoping to intern with finance and the women i intered with was in sales so it really just about your fit with the program as a whole. Hope that helps and i wish you all the best of luck!

I believe they will evaluate you in person for your final round if you are in a technical department, or if you were kind of confusing to gauge over the phone during your first two interviews.

If you felt you “killed” your first two, you’ll probably have a final interview over the phone. Don’t feel lesser, you’re saving money, and you’re having a chill phone conversation with a graduate student about your past experiences.

Final interviews for Dedicated Client Services (sales team) have been conducted over the phone to my knowledge. I just had mine earlier this afternoon, is anybody else interviewing with this department? It appears that there are a lot of branches/options in with sales so I could see why they’re doing it like this.

i had mine with DCS in person. who knows!

Hey guys,

Just had my final phone interview with DCS today. It was the most chill interview ever. Wish me luck. Good luck to everyone waiting also.

Yo DCS people, finally speaking up!

I will be working for DCS this summer in MTV…hit me up if you also get an offer!

So do they email you to tell you when to expect a final call offering or rejecting? Or should I expect to hear from them at random?

I had my DCS final interview on site…I got an offer!

Just had my final interview today. I’m very nervous about the outcomes right now. When did everyone hear back about their offer status after the final interview?

The anticipation is going to drive me crazy now… well, I guess a few more days to try to enjoy my life as much as possible if I don’t get a favorable result :(

Hey BillBank,
You should be hearing back soon. I had my in person interview in NYC on a Tuesday and I found out on that Friday.

What department are you being considered for?

Good Luck and keep us updated!

To Heelydancer,

sorry for the late reply. I’ve been on Spring Break. I interviewed with Global Ad Ops last Wednesday over the phone!

Hey Fuego, I interviewed with Real Estate and Workplace Services. I was pretty nervous during my interview even though it was supposed to be chill, and I feel like I could’ve definitely said more about myself after my interview. So I’m trying to not set my expectations too high right now… to be honest I’d still be fairly devastated if I don’t get it, especially after making it this far and having built up all this anticipation.

Just curious, does anyone know how many final interviews they gave out? And how many non-URMs got a final offer?

Ahhh! After 5 interviews, I got an offer with Commercial - Legal at the Mountain View campus!! So thankful/excited/happy!

to imani1029,

yea im on spring break too. That’s GAO is the same team i interviewed for, even though a previous post said DCS, but that was the initial team i interviewed for. So now im just waiting. Good luck

Hi Everyone!

Has anyone heard if Google has started interviews for the Toronto office? Does Google do Canada interviews at the same time as the U.S.?

Thanks!

@d_rolla -

Congrats! Are you going to take it?

@SeriousNoSuit

Yeah! =)

Has anybody on here who stated they had a final round interview get declined/rejected? This anticipation is killing me.
