okay awesome then kitnkat03, I’ll be checking the mailbox every 5 minutes after about 3 o’clock

oh my goodness! I just got a message on my phone that a FedEx package is waiting for me at my apartment…did anyone get theirs FedEx? or was it USPS??? I am not expecting another package…

You think if we call them they will be able to tell what is the answer of our applications since apparently they have already been made ?

I think it certainly couldn’t hurt to try…

Mine was usps. White manila envelope in the mailbox but I have a wide mailbox so it fit and I don’t think it bends so it can’t fit in a standard small mailbox.

So f’ing PO’d right now.

FedEx package was for my husband…nothing in the mailbox but a parking ticket I didn’t know about- with added fees for the payment being late, seeing as how I hadn’t known about it… (awesome)

Nobody answered the phone in the admissions office at 4pm the Friday of a holiday weekend…meaning if I don’t get it tomorrow in the mail, one way or another I have to wait AT LEAST until tuesday. (again, awesome)

Who else is having a drink tonight? Make a toast to the rest of us still waiting

Nothing in the mail for me today either, and I’m in Northern VA. Grrr, definitely throwing back a few beers tonight. cheers

I just got my big blue envelope today. Couldn’t be more thrilled.
I wonder when FA decisions will be sent out.
grr

good luck everyone!

I was driving home today and passed the mail truck on my way in. The five minutes it took for it to reach my house were interminable, and of course, it wasn’t there. To those of you who have heard you’re in, congrats, to everyone else, here’s to hoping something turns up tomorrow.

yup, nothing in mine either.

Got my offer of admission in the mail today! I applied to SEAS for Biomedical Engineering.

Stats:
Just finished freshman year (34 credit hours)
4.0 at a small private engineering school, not well ranked but not a cc
Took 19 credit hours in the spring
Lots of ECs
Recommendation: English Comp teacher, I was the only person to get an A in the class
High school: 2.9 gpa, probably more around 2.0 core

On the transfer credit worksheet I received 29 credits for transfer, but the majority had a prefix of VT, I don’t know what this means in terms of how this credit is counted towards my degree. If anyone knows anythings about this I would love to hear how it works

Also I should add that in my letter of acceptance, it said I was given a $16,000 engineering scholarship.

@eric432 - I had vt next to a few of mine too but I have no idea what it means. I wish they would have put contact information on here for an academic advisor so we could ask questions like that.

I called the GW office of admissions the other day and asked if they could just tell me if I was in or not. They said that they do not give the decision over the phone.
LAME.

So, I havent received anything yet. Im starting to get pessimistic. Logic tells me, theyve sent out the acceptance packages this week because theyre priority denials will come out whenever they get them in the mail. Why does it take so long? They should change the decision date to June 1st instead of May 1st.

@ShaunMartin - I haven’t received anything either. Lets ignore logic for at least another 3 days…shall we?

Yes I think we should ignore logic too since I havnt recieved anything either good luck to us all

i’m waiting for my decision too (submitted everything mid-March). i’m pretty sure that they send out acceptance and rejection letters at the same time, but obviously no one is going to post on here that they got rejected. hopefully we’ll hear sometime before september lol

For those accepted, anyone looking at off-campus housing options instead of dorms?
