^ Uhh I would be eee-lated! But I’ll probably have to interview…

I’m hoping that my essay will be sufficiently interesting and that the astrological signs, weather, coffee and feng shui will be just right so that it will pique my application reader enough to put my application in the “interview” pile.

Then hopefully I can interview and demonstrate how I’m much more interesting and witty than all of you. :P

Just kidding. But all I want is the chance for a good interview.

That’s my position exactly

When the interviews will start?

I am waiting eagerly:D

Well, I don’t know if essays have to be “compelling.” As long as you put ideas that are a little more than half-baked down on paper, I’d say that you’re in good shape.

:)

If I’m lucky enough to get into Yale EA, I’ll most likely just use the Yale supplement as my optional essay, since that’d probably be evidence that it’s good enough.

But that’s leaving it very late no? At least if you want to make the priority application deadline…

It’d be like two weeks ahead of the deadline. Doesn’t seem too late to me.

My plan is to get everything in by December 10th. I’m doing SAT II in December (bio M), so that’ll have to be sent in on December 23, when the scores are released, but everything else should be good to go.

@nne:

if you make yale ea, just take it :P

I just submitted mine!! Good luck to everyone!!!

^^ Just keeping my options open since I haven’t visited Yale or many other of my schools yet.

I’ve visited Harvard, Oxford and MIT. Not even applying to MIT though.

You guys are lucky. I haven’t visited any of the colleges I’m applying to (save for UC Irvine, and I was only there for an hour).

Same-I’m an international applicant so it’s hard to find time to travel all the way to the states just to see the campus.

I’m hoping to go on a college visit trip next month and hit up all of my Northeastern schools. But it’d be the week before their finals, so I don’t know how lively the campuses would be.

Ugh I just talked to my interviewer on the phone and sounded like a complete idiot. Hopefully I can redeem myself next week…

East of Eden is one of my favorite books, hehe.

I haven’t had the opportunity to visit colleges-- I had to hold a job over summer to get a few bucks toward my college costs, and my family can’t afford to go romping around. :(

i submitted mine about a week ago. but for some reason my test scores are still “un-official”, even though I sent the reports in september! i’m rather confused…

I think I wrote that I was applying on the first few pages.

Anyways, confirming that now. :)
