First off, Congrats to all! I applied Oct 17. Will I hear back soon?

My son's application was finally matched up with transcript and counselor forms around October 9, and we are still waiting. Shouldn't be too much longer (I hope).

Oregonianmom, I don't know when my son's things were matched up, but his counselor sent them out on October 4th, so I would think you'd hear something soon. If you don't hear by tomorrow or the next day, it might be time to place a call to their office. If I recall correctly, he filled out his application before my son did, and that was on September 30th. Am I right about that?

LOL - he filled out and submitted his application on August 12! But his GC didn't get the packet sent to them until September 20. It arrived on the 24th and went straight to the Wells Scholarship department (because he was trying for that scholarship). They kept all his admissions paperwork while they deliberated about the scholarship, and then they passed it back to admissions. Admissions got it back around 10/9 (we have an email from that date, saying they have everything). I think it went to the end of the line at that time. Since then, he got the same email your son did, about everything being in place. So I think a decision will be forthcoming very soon.

Oh dear, his app has really been around campus, hasn't it? ;-) I would hope that it wouldn't go to the bottom of the pile, but who knows? I would still call. You want him to be considered for the maximum scholarship money and I think I'd point out that he got his app in as early as August 12th!! But that's just me.

When I check the status of mine it says your application is complete and being reviewed, but below that in bold it says please call the admissions office regarding your application. Does that mean call if you have questions, or that I need to call because they have a problem with my application?

dh5123, I believe it means they have a question and want you to call them.

My son is in! :)

dh5123, that's what my son's status said for a very long time. When he contacted them, what they told him was that all of his materials weren't in yet. He explained that everything should be there (see post #64 above). Then he received a follow-up email saying they do have everything, but they did not change his status - until today! So, call or email them. They're pretty quick about email replies.

IN!!!!! Just checked my status online and have been accepted

Finally!! Congrats to your son, Oregonianmom, and to you, NYFan11!!

Whew...really relieved and happy for my first college acceptance!

Transcript Matched: 11/6
Accepted: 11/9

3.6 GPA (hardest classes)
31 ACT
good/unique ECs

Applied for Kelley. Haven't gotten anything from them yet though.

HPandu, congratulations! I'm sure you'll be a direct admit into Kelley with those stats. You should hear from them in a few weeks.

Thanks 10 chars

hpandu

were you admitted first to the school? or did you apply straight to the business school and havnt heard a decision yet?

Just to the school I haven't gotten anything from Kelley yet...but I heard that as long as you meet the reqs. you get in automatically. Not sure though.

really..when you applied did you enter general studies(liberal arts & sciences) or business(kelly school of business)?

He probably applied to IU - Bloomington and just declared Business as his major. That's the way my older son did it and four weeks after he received his packet with this scholarship information, he received a letter saying he was directly admitted to Kelley.

I dont know b/c a classmate of mine had a 3.6(W) w/ a 25 and instead of putting liberal arts and sciences he put kelley school of business and then was waitlisted..what do you think this means?

Maybe he should call and ask if the reason he's wait listed is because of his error.

I dont think it matter what school you put down, they told me that if you weren't capable of getting into a specific school they will automatically consider you for the regulate school.
