how are tattoos viewed?

In California, everyone and their mother seems to have a tattoo. I wouldn't be surprised if 25% plus have one in the 18-30 age bracket. I have no ink, as I think it's becoming so cliche to have one, especially among many of the people I associate with(bodybuilders, gym rats, and hardcore weight lifters). It's almost expected for you to have some ink wrapping your arm if you even resemble a person who lifts weights on a regular basis.

As irrational as it sounds, a low back tattoo on a girl is almost a deal breaker. To me, it has such a connotation of promiscuity and sluttiness(for lack of a better term). Anyone who watches porn knows this. Upper back is okay, I suppose. As someone stated earlier though, they definitely don't add to a female's attractiveness.

Interesting.... Some women -- with and without tats -- would regard your familiarity with porn as a deal breaker.

As for the "imagine what the tattoo will look like when the person gets old": The person's skin will be wrinkled anyway, so I don't think that having a tat on it will make them look that much worse."

Reminds me of the crusty old vets who wear t-shirts revealing their forearm tats. Personally, I think the blotches of black ink look silly. I'm not even sure whether touching them up on a regular basis would do much to prevent that, either.

Let them. I'm not interested in anyone who would make a value judgement of me over that. To me, it is simply a means to an end, that end being the fulfillment of my primal sexual urges. And when you're almost twenty, a virgin, and have no other outlet currently to release sexual frustrations, who can blame you?

^^^^ whoa - that would come under the category of TMI .......waaaaay TMI

TMI? Pardon?

Too much information :)

too much information.

sure it's the lower back tattoo...

Me, for one. I think that porn is degrading and exploitative to women. Many of the women in porn are addicts and have other problems. Many men who turn to porn do so because they lack the social skills and interpersonal interest to have relationships (I'm not just referring to sex) with real, live women.

I imagine there are more women who'd avoid romantic relationships with guys with your viewpoint than there are men who'd avoid having romantic relationships with women with tats on their lower back.

Sure is. Another deal breaker is when the girl won't even look at/recognize your existence. That one's a doozy.

Can't we agree that porn is exploitative to all participants? Let's face it, it's tantamount to prostitution on video. But this is fine by me, as all participants are willing and have consciously chosen to perform the act(s).

And while were at it, can't we further agree that men are as, if not more, objectified than women? The females are the stars, get paid more, and are overall valued in the profession. The men serve as nothing more than pieces of meat, often nameless, often faceless. Their screen time is often relegated to their appendage. They are in this sense, nothing more than a prop.

Don't get the wrong idea, either. I'm no big fan or viewer of porn. I am certainly not attracted to anything about it other than the visceral physical nature of it, and again, not all of it is created equal. There's some stuff I find completely disgusting out there.

Furthermore, your insinuation that my casual viewing of porn affects my treatment(past, present, or future) or view of women in general is ludicrous. I'll reiterate: Any female who, upon meeting me and getting to knew who I am and where I stand, rejects me immediately upon learning that I viewed porn semi-regularly as a horny single teenager, is no one worth being with.

"And while were at it, can't we further agree that men are as, if not more, objectified than women"

No because from what I've read in articles about porn, many of the things that are done to women in porn films -- things that I can't describe on this site -- are not done to men in porn films. They are things that are humiliating and degrading.

"Any female who, upon meeting me and getting to knew who I am and where I stand, rejects me immediately upon learning that I viewed porn semi-regularly as a horny single teenager, is no one worth being with."

Just like you write off as relationship possibilities women with lower back tats, there are women who'd write you off as a relationship possibility if shortly after meeting you, they learned you use porn "semi regularly."

"Just like you write off as relationship possibilities women with lower back tats, there are women who'd write you off as a relationship possibility if shortly after meeting you, they learned you use porn "semi regularly."

Good to know there are women just as superficial as me!

I believe male pornstars in gay porn would disagree with ya there. Are women the victims in that realm of porn too? Gimme' a break!

Nsm, while i agree that there are women who object to porn, there are also women who view it
