Some of my forms are missing, so I did not receive an financial aid offer yet. Still, I want to get some idea of how much financial aid I can expect to get, if you don’t mind sharing.

Situation is pretty standard middle-class:

Just below 60k for a family of 4; I’m the only one who will be attending college this year.
We have a house, but have virtually no available equity on it.
No other significant assets.

Does BC generally supply lots of loans or are they mostly grants? I don’t really know BC’s reputation of generosity.

hey, zenbadabing, how does that work? if the total cost is $54485, 54k-36k = 18k. 18k-5k (ur loan) = 13k?

im just wondering because mine came out very similarly to yours:

sibling in college; i dunno how much my parents make...(middle class)
35k BC scholarship
4.5k loans
2k work/study
= 42k aid; 54k-42k = 12k contribution per year?

it....still costs a little too much, i think =[

BC just upped my financial aid but sadly it still does not cover the 53K cost. I have to agree with Jamiecakes there are better deals out there (at least for me anyway). I do not live in MA so when you consider transportation I'll still end up paying more than they say.
