Indiana University - Bloomington Early Action for Fall 2024 Admission

They are working through them. The closer to Nov 1 applied the more apps came in. They have to validate SAT, GPA go through process. There is zero advantage to being admitted today versus 1/15. I haven’t even told my kid yet she was admitted. I’ll let her decide to check the portal or get the email.

When did you get the email. S24 hadn’t gotten his yet. He didn’t even get a notification to check his portal.

It does say pre-business on the portal.

No we don’t have confirmation. Luckily my son is pretty patient and adaptable, he’s also not in the “either Kelley or no IU” camp. He still likes the university, but I expect he will have other good options too. We’re going to work on the petition and just go with it (assuming they will even let him- we were actually unable to download the petition from the Kelley page and had to email them to ask to send us the petition for some reason).

That’s a great attitude! Also, if he’s got a positive attitdue about the whole thing and was successful in high school he can certainly come in and decide if he wants to try for Kelley from within IU (if he doesn’t get in on petition for some reason). It’s certainly a path a lot of kids do. At the same time, I’m pretty sure a number of Kelley kids get a semester or two in at IU and decide business is not for them.

As anyone heard back from the School of Public Health - SPORT MARKETING & MANAGEMENT major? If so would you share when you applied and stats
thanks

My son was admitted direct on Tuesday and he had same test score as your son (29 composite, 31 super). So I suspect it’s the two high schools that resulted in the pre-business for now.

OOS admitted to CAS Media School (Journalism)
3.9 uw, test optional, good ECs, good public school
applied late sept.

best wishes everyone!

It’s a shame that simply changing high schools results in having to take the extra step to petition and then wait for a reply. I have to imagine that, if she’d otherwise meet the criteria, she will ultimately be admitted to Kelley. :crossed_fingers:

Hi-
My child was accepted from out of state-
3.9 W
3.7 UW
Did not submit scores as ACT was not a quite a 30.
Mix of college prep, honors, ap/dual enrollment.
Solid ec/volunteer/relevant experience (not sure that matters)
Applied end of September (I think)
Best of luck!

Interesting, and thank you for confirming.

Not yet! However, my son didn’t finish his application until November 1st. Let me know if you hear anything. Good luck! :crossed_fingers:

any more roll outs today?

Not all review requests are the same. If you would be otherwise admitted if not for this question, it may be very fast. All the Review Request does is tell Kelley to look at it when the software on general admission does not generate the auto-stat admittance.

Yes! Son just checked portal and was admitted for Sports Marketing/ School of Public Health. OOS, submitted mid October, 31 ACT, and lots of EC’s that back up the major.

Good luck everyone!

Did anyone apply to the Eskanazi School? My daughter applied late October OOS and hasn’t heard back yet. She applied as a merchandising major. Anyone similar to her?
