Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship- 2013

That’s great news!! I was starting to lose hope :)

Thank for the information, Dianelilith.

Thank God! Reading about that email totally freaked me out! I’m really happy that it’s not necessarily the case. I still haven’t heard anything. My scholarship coordinator hadn’t heard anything yesterday, but I know she will be in touch with me soon about another event, so hopefully I can talk to her about it at that time and get the low down on things.

Just found another person who was notified (through a google search, lol) https://twitter.com/thatgirlmystic

Lol, that’s COOL!

@mihir1612 Congratulations to you! Cheers :D

@BlueJacket Sorry for the bad news. To be honest, you are one of the exceptional nominees here (which I mean is way better than me). If they dont choose even you, I dont know how I can win this scholarship :(

No, Nate… take Scribes advice… he or she was kind enough to stop by 2 years in a row, and with purpose. Just like he said, “don’t sweat anything” until you hear from your rep or JKCF with a solid one way or the other. You got this! =)

Well, it’s Thursday night. I don’t have any classes to attend again until Monday so i figure i won’t hear anything until Monday at the earliest. It turns out that the events my JKC rep wanted me to come by her office to talk about were all she wanted to talk about, not a false pretense to get me to her office for a surprise! lol.

How are you guys feeling about the long wait from now until the new school week? Or do some of you have school related functions between now and Monday?

@dianelilith It’s not so much that some applications are incomplete, it’s that your fall 2012 grades weren’t final or official at the application deadline, which was during that semester. No matter how complete everyone’s JKC applications were, they were “missing” those fall 2012 final grades.

@ciresu- I have a PTK meeting tomorrow, so I am going to see my school rep!!!

@craigav. Congrats, a very well done! May I ask how is your GPA?

That’s true, I completely forgot about last semester’s grades. Too bad they never asked me to update them – I took 13 units and got all As :(

@Aheng90 3.85

Just received my rejection email, sent directly from the JKC Foundation. I already expect it but still feel a bit sad. Good luck to the rest of you :)

Just received mine as well, not selected. It is normal to feel sad, but remember failures are only there to strengthen us. Best of luck to everyone!

I just got my email from JKCF that I was not selected… I knew it was a longshot but I’m still pretty bummed… could have made my dream school possible. But staying positive that God has another plan for my future. Congratulations to all who were selected and best of luck with all of you in your future endeavors!

I am actually glad that they are kind to inform my rejection so early compared to previous years. Now I can stop the waiting and focus on my last semester in CC :)

Btw, seems like this means those who still dont receive any email from JKCF may have a good chance to win this year :D

Just received my email say that I was not picked. It’s sad to say, but looks like I won’t be going to college at all this fall. This was my only hope :(

I too recieved a rejection email. :frowning: Super Dissapointed. I have a PTK competition today. Now I need to nail it! This one is for a full ride at my dream college.

Guys, remember one thing that being nominated for such scholarship is an achievement in itself. We may not be able to go to my dream school, but have faith in God because he only knows how much we deserve this and he will reward us in his unique way. Don’t give up please because you have already built a legacy inside yourself, so do not let such an event destroy it.

Good luck@ your competition today TeachmeChelle.

Thank you so much!
