they def said fuse 100% sure

damn gotta make this fruit salad thing for someone's graduation party .. i swear they never end .. guys i'll take a sheet of paper with me in case I remember anymore, you guys try to remember some too =)

ciao 4 now

and each questions is -.25
which makes guessing OK because if you don't know anything at all, there's a 1/5% chance to get to right...
so if you guessed on 5... you'll probably get one right, and four wrong, which negates to 0. :)

answer to questions?

which bone structures were most suitable for flying and for swimming?

number of chromosomes given by mother: 24?

question with inhibitor and putting it in b4/after lactose?

flying was II and III
swimming was I

Flying was teh two pics with the least bone, the swimming I put te one with the most (I).

The beginning with all the Karyotypes- That Organism would have 48 chromosomes in a body cell right?

Yeah^ awfawfaw

i know this was mentioned before... but what did you guys get for the one about fertility and conception?

blocked tube and pH of uterus/vagina is too extreme. LH stimulates ovulation so that wouldn't make her infertile

But wasn't the part about LH talking about excessive amounts of it pre-ovulation?
...I skipped that one, but...

Protozoa (amoeba) causes malaria right?

yah it does. asdfa

yes malaria is caused by protozoans

questions:
-the question with the albino Plant I that leeched off Plant 2. (i put something that had to do with highjacking of CO2 supplies)
-the protein that transcripts = RNA polymerase?
-the food chain with seeds, cayotes, snakes (i think), fleas (i think) what was the answer? (i had seeds at the beginning and fleas at the end because i assumed fleas were eating cayotes lol)

ill try to think of more.

yeah.. seeds at the beginning.. fleas at the end

more questions!:

chromosomes was the choice -- which doesn't have a membrane?

more engery during aerobic respiration as compared to just regular break down of glucose?

significance of mitosis..? bring a copy of each chromosome to each cell?

co-evolution for acacia tree and ants?

darwin didn't state that.... organisms produce similar ones?

linked genes question

cynobacteria question..? i forget.. but.. no mitochondria?

use of alcohol (bioM) -- to get ride of chlorophyll?

co2/ o2 transport by diffusion?

hormone questionssss??

was mimicry an answer?

1) chromosomes dont have membrane
2) i took E, i don't think i saw that question
3) i think the question was asking for an exception- what was the question again :D?
4) yes it was coevolution
5) that is what i put
6) skipped that one.
7) cyanobacterias don't have mitochondria I think
8) took E
9) Yes i believe it was diffusion
10) i don't remember every one of them but i think thyroxine was the one with iodine- increasing metabolism. Can you rmemeber what they asked for?
11) Yes mimicry was one of the answers.

albino plant- showed the dependence since it could produce seeds but could not engage in photosynthesis (no pigments) so it leeched off all plant II's nutrients.
darwin- said the one with recessive alleles able to be hidden since natural selection=selection against disadvantageous phenotypes (which would be recessive phenotype).
karyotype- 25 for the trisomy, read it like 10 time; it said something like Zygote in trisomy is a combo of normal gamete and a gamete that _______
was the influenza one produced by virus?
also was the answer to the most important factor of natural selection question survival or reproduction?
ovulation- I talked to my dad after the test (Microbiology Prof) and he said something to the effect of I. would be right since getting tubes tied would block eggs but ovulation would still occur, II. could be right (depending on the answer) since an LH surplus would be a negative feedback and stop ovulation...if the question said ovlulation if fine then the answer if wrong, if not then its right; and III. is wrong since apparently pH does not hinder sperm but rather helps a sperm of a certain sex (high pH leads to one sex having advantage in reaching egg while low pH does the same to the other sex).

I got all the same answers as you except for #7. I put they don't have ribosomes. Mimicry was an answer.

I had no idea about malaria... cry

But the rest wasn't too bad... I just want over a 700... I think I can do it. Some of the ones I was unsure of it seems I got correct.

so the CO2 answer was wrong for the albino plants correct?

are you sure about the trisomy one because I read the question as: the number of chromosomes in the zygote. Why would they say Gamate of a Zygote if they could have just said Gamete. That like putting (-)(-) instead of one +. But then again.. its collegeboard..

influenza = virus

number of offspring that Survive = fitness

also, I am almost sure the infertility thing was I and III. There was a question similar to that in PR. I is definately one of the answer, II is definately not one, III i thought it would be since too much acid would likely kill the sperm.
