June 2010 Curve Predictions

I’m really hoping for a -1 math to be 800, but I doubt it lol.
790 would be nice. But 780 wouldn’t be crazy :(

Could anyone tell me what they think -2 to -3, 4 omitted in Math might be score me?

http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf

Are the curves generally as bad as the green columns here? Anybody know how this month’s curve will likely compare with the green ones?

what would three wrong and one skip on the CR section be ?
and how do you guys think the math curve will be?

I’m going to guess that the CR curve will be most similar to those in the “red” columns due to the difficulty of the vocab. Also, I took the May '09 SAT (the CR for that test was classified as “Medium”), and in retrospect I definitely think the June '10 CR was harder.

June Math was harder then both and may and march and i took both those tests

-1 will prolly be 790

expect -3 800 for CR , it was even harder then Octobe 2009, vocab was just ridic

^ I would be absolutely ecstatic if this happened.

^ It should, I have every QAS out there , I mean the CR vocab was harder then ANY i’ve seen DH didnt help at all. thats how hard, some are so hard they seem a bit controversial like the emperical question. -3 CR seems fair based on historic curves.

as for math

it will be probably

800 54
780-790 53
760-750 52
740-730 51
720-710 50
710-700 49
700-690 48 My math prediction seems accurate what do you think of it?

I would tend to agree with your math prediction. Realistically, I’m looking at:

CR: 710
M: 710
W: 780 (already have from March)

For my goal of 2200. Let’s hope it happens.

^similar math and writing. Did you screw up the math like me? it was my 3rd time screwing it up lol. I was so happy and boom last two questions blanked out ran out of time ended up guessing… I think my readin how ever will be 680-700 depending on curve.

I’m retaking AGAIN lol in October or November depending on which month ED schools accept. and I still gotta take math 2 so ill prolly take that one of the months or the other.

I got 5 math questions wrong, but 3 of them were grid-ins. This was my second time, got 2100 first time.

Any chance CB had the same difficulty for both tests (intl. and US) for the same curves? I believe our vocab was easier than yours - but the passages (in my opinion) were more difficult than test 2 in the BB, in which -3 was an 800.
I really want that CR curve you guys have - need a 700.

By -3 CR, do you mean that 63 or 64 raw will be 800?
I just realized that I missed a 3rd CR question…

-3 raw, as in 2 wrong and 1 omit max.

@NewAccount - I took the March SAT as well, so I’m wondering how you feel this writing section compared to March’s. I personally thought that the ID’s were easier this time, the paragraph about the same, and the improving sentences were about as hard as March’s.

^just trying to get a good objective opinion on the writing difficulty, I went -0mc in March so I thought it was pretty easy, but i missed one this time around

anyone else have an input about the difficulty of the writing as compared to another test?

^ Hmm, I’m really not going to be of much help there! :stuck_out_tongue: Writing hasn’t posed any problems for me, and even when I took the SAT cold first time as a sophomore, my Writing score was the highest out of all 3 sections (690 CR, 700 M, 730 W). But I think this time’s Writing curve might be around the “Medium” range, or yellow columns.

Definitely harder than last time. I also got an 800 with no multiple choice wrong as well in March. I’m about 90% positive I did not get an 800 this time (or atleast, -0MC). It wasn’t that much harder though.

This writing was probably a bit harder than last time (March), but ironically enough I got -2 last time and I’m looking at -0 this time.
