Hey guys!! I am a LEAD alumni from Stanford 2011!! To those of you accepted, congratulations!! LEAD is an amazing program where you guys will learn so much and meet people who you will truly impact your lives!!! If anyone has any questions don’t hesitate in contacting me!

TEKTAV- Don’t get discouraged I received the same letter and was later accepted into the program.

LEADALUMN2011 Thank you! I called and they told me that after April 5th they will send a new e-mail informing about the acceptance.

I called them too and they said that they would give you a call if you were accepted from the semi-finalist list…I highly doubt that I’ll make it though since they’re probably a lot of people on the list.

DD got into LEAD (Wharton). She turned down the FUSYE (6 weeks in Finland) to do LEAD. She’s very excited about LEAD, but kind of sad that she can’t do the Finland program.

mauicougar: Congratulations on the wonderful choices your daughter has. Did she get into LEAD from the waitlist or was she accepted as part of the regular decision process? Thanks

She is a native (hawaiian) student so she applied through the native american finance officers organization (nafoa) process. They do the same LEAD app but have to do other “native” essays in addition to the regular ones.

Sent from my SPH-D710 using CC

has anyone recieved information about their waitlist status yet?

if you get into LEAD, does it increase your chance tremendously to get into UPenn?

I don’t think so. But, it does let you see the campus, meet the professors, interview with the admissions reps, etc. That helps in deciding if Penn is a good fit for you. Remember, though, there aren’t very many students on campus during the summer, so it will probably be a lot different when school really starts.

It does increase your chances but I would not say “tremendously.” Usually the admission people meet with the students during the program and give them great advice. Many of the LEAD colleges give LEAD students fee waivers and I remember for my oldest child the application was bit different and had LEAD stamped across it. One thing that can be helpful is getting a recommendation from a professor or dean who led the LEAD program at the respective college and submitting it as part of the application package. The dean at Northwestern was great at helping the students and he offered to write letters for those who sought it.

LEAD Business Wharton 2013 ! <3

^Hey, me too! Congratulations… I guess we’ll be meeting in a few months :)

@lydiamanglin, lol. we keep meeting like this xD

im just afraid of the rope course… i have never tried it and im afraid of heights.

@atiburcio I know! Since we were kicked out of the last forum, I guess we have no choice lol.
And really?! Me too… I’m like DEATHLY afraid of heights. I was hoping to see if the rope course was optional. It’s just the fact that we need a waiver says a lot more than words :)

Hey guys! I applied to LEAD this year and got waitlisted; do any of you know the probability of getting off the waitlist/how they choose who to admit from the waitlist? Thanks! (Couldn’t find any 2016 forums so…)
@drakonus : did you get the result through email or letter?
@elliot25 Emailed to me!
