Agree, I also felt put off by that. My celiac kid attended countless long EC meetings in the evenings in high-school that were often accompanied by pizza the school ordered, or muffins or whatever. That bowl of ice is basically what she got, and it didnât matter that she had raised the issue because people just thought it was a weird quirk. Kinda sucks but whatever. But how awesome it is when someone gets it and orders a gf option. I now always check for student allergies as well as restrictions like vegan for my end-of-term seminar parties, and bring options for everyone because I want everyone included. But before my kid was diagnosed, I honestly never thought about it. Live and learn.

I made GF shortbread tonight (with Bobâs Red Mill GF flour). They are pretty good and will go with me to church coffee hour tomorrow. It was a practice run for GF visitors - not sure hubby realized I didnât use normal flour.
