<p>Not to crush anyone’s hopes, but our application due date was later than the years before so it may take a little longer for them to review all of the applications.</p>
<p>@Southpaw45 Don’t worry about it, I’m just as anxious as you are! Also, good luck on Science Olympiad! My state’s competition was last month, so it’s already long passed… What events are you doing?</p>
<p>I just went to the application page to check on my results, but obviously it’s not up yet… I wonder if it’d be there by the end of today. So much nervousness.</p>

I know I should really just calm down, take a deep breath, and not think about it until the results are out… I applied to SIMR, and I was rejected earlier in the week, so I really, really hope that I get in at least one of the programs I worked so hard applying for… The MITES essays was hands down the hardest set of essays I’d ever written, so I hope that’d get me somewhere.</p>
<p>Ahhhh standardized test a;sldkfjds;lfk;sj. I did maybe 40 practice tests tbh because I just wanted to get it over the first time. We’ll see how that goes! Thanks again, I’m always pretty much full of anxiety and I’m glad you’re here to help me tone that down a notch. :)</p>
<p>Thanks @Nobody426! For some reason, our state competition seems to be much later than many others…I’ll be competing in Astronomy, Entomology, and Rocks and Minerals. We have some chance of doing well in our individual events but basically no chance of ranking as a team because we’re a new team and suburban schools are too good.
I’m still hoping to hear back today…if not from MITES, then at least from SSP, since their results came out last year on the second Wednesday at like 2 EST.

<p>Ahhhh I’m starting to think that MITES might be releasing their decisions next week instead. Seems like no one heard anything about this program’s exact release date yet. </p>
<p>I’m just super nervous about SSP right now, (haha, just judging by how we’re commenting on the SSP thread!) I did Rocks and Minerals last year for SciOly, but I did Chem, Anatomy, and Technical Problem Solving this year. I think I’m pretty biochem oriented this year in terms of events.</p>
<p>Let’s cross our fingers and maybe we’ll meet over the summer!</p>

Oh and Nobody426 I did chemlab and TPS also! But I did write it do it, experimental design and materials science. And when’s your state competition (southpaw45), bc I had mine also in march-ish. </p>

<p>As an Asian boy my son does not expect to get to MITES. His purpose is for E2 and MOSTEC. Hope these programs are blind about the applicants’ ethnics.</p>

<p>I was gonna go to Science Olympiad for chemistry, but the other people who were going were a lot better at chemistry than me and would’ve put more effort into it, too, so I decided not to.</p>
<p>Does anyone here think the results might be sent out midnight? Or does majority opinion lean towards next week? Everyone here seems great. It would be beyond amazing to meet so many awesome people (especially coming from my miniature 80 people high school)!</p>

<p>@emywemy610 It was nice being in environment that allowed me to grow so close to nearly everyone there, but I’m definitely ready to move on from that. You get tired of seeing the same faces day after day.</p>
